  1. We were on the same cruise and when we arrived we were told by CPS representative to stay in car and somebody would soon be with us. After a wait of a few minutes our details were taken, she took photos of the car and ask for set of keys. When she finished she said please leave your window open and if you are able to unload your car and take luggage across the road to the appropriate "hole" for your stateroom deck and the staff would take the luggage of us. There were 1 or 2 porters about I assume you only help those who couldn't unload their own luggage due to being elderly or disabled. It worked very well and seamless with no problems. Anyone else arriving by taxi or any other means i.e not CPS will have differing methods.
  2. Yes first sentence of and post said 23/7/24 which I knew was wrong because we have booked on QA for 14nt cruise on 14/7/24. Saw after reading you were on same cruise and reading the post in full gave contradictory dates. Hope realises 23/7/24 isn't 24th June 😁
  3. Am I mistaken as QA doesnt go to Norwegian Fjords on 23/7/24.
  4. Sorry to burst your bubble and not to cause confusion but you havent booked QA for 23/7/24 as she is on a British Isles/Iceland cruise from 14/7/24 until 28/7/24.
  5. The porters at Southampton are not employed by CPS and as of early November on our cruise you were asked to unload your own car and take luggage to appropriate "hole" for your deck. I think there was a limited number of porters to help those that were elderly or disabled to assist with luggage.
  6. No chance. The coffee yes but forget the rest.
  7. Think some might buy more drinks than they perhaps would have done if it was there own money instead of extra OBC.
  8. Also it actually costs P&O very little because of the high mark up of what you spend the OBC on.
  9. Luko Vojvoda from 9th March. Before that Neil Turnbull.
  10. Late afternoon the next day we received the whisky that with the brand we didn't ask for.
  11. There isn't enough room for flambe dishes at tableside on QV in PG. Cunard are very economical with the tableside flambe dishes advertising. We recently had a la carte meals and flambe desserts and it was a very stretched decision to call them tableside.
  12. Yes that was happened to us in PG on the same cruise.
  13. Asked for brandy and was told an emphatic NO so ordered whisky and didn't even get brand of whisky we asked for and had to wait nearly 24hrs for it. Never again.
  14. There was always seats available in Commodore Club and Queens Room and the bar around atrium were always relatively empty.
  15. Shocking decision Arvia should be named at her home port of Southampton before maiden voyage.
  16. My drinks were cheap in Grill Lounge in November as the waiter put them on some Ody else's bill. Even though I told the concierge that I wasn't paying for drinks and even told her the name of person who waiter was mixing me with so obviously he paid for my drinks. For that reason we stopped going there for pre dinner drinks and went to Commodore Club.
  17. Yes because mice hotels have to pay alcohol duty and VAT to UK government Cunard don't pay any so making even more profit and yes taking that into account the drinks prices are extortionate. That is why bars onboard are generally very poorly attended.
  18. Also the maxim price per drink has gone up to $13 it was $12 in November on our cruise. I suppose it covers a general increase on already extortionate drink prices for those not purchasing drinks packages. Bars were very quiet in November on QV even Commodore Club was easy to get a seat pre dinner and Queens Room after dinner also very quiet.
  19. I must look like a criminal or smuggler because I have been stopped a couple of times in Southampton. We were also a few years ago approached by official person in Mayflower Terminal before we had checked in and asked how much cash I was taking on holiday with me.
  20. Iceland is a beautiful country and is a good alternative to the Baltic's. Makes you think it was poor senior management to even consider cruising in that area and do soon.
  21. I think it has always been $69 so don't think any price increase.
  22. 2023 was always going to be expensive because so many people had FCC from cruises cancelled due to COVID. To put it into perspective we went on QE in 2019 for 12nts and paid £2700 for a Q6. You cannot get anywhere near that now that's why I think QG have gone very expensive.
  23. They do 5% discount for past passengers whatever the cabin/suite they book always have done. But never sell QG/PG as Early Saver.
