  1. My husband had that exact meal multiple times with a tiny bit of salad 🙂
  2. Aw just kidding. I'm an old Left Coast "gal."
  3. This isn't the main point of your post but why do you have to do those things.
  4. Our dining room gets covered and becomes our "staging area." It's great when things get removed from that area.
  5. Many years I ran a little contest. I tried to remember what anyone I worked with had worn to work the previous day. Women only as the male component was too easy. Didn't get a single one. So, yeah, I pack like you do.
  6. Are you really all "guys" 🙂 LOL (PS: OT cause so few posts. I actually liked it.)
  7. This thread is now over 300. Is there someway to end it and continue with just a part of it? TIA.
  8. A few years ago we cruised on Hurtigruten, one of their small Norwegian coastal cruises. IIRC of the 100 (!) pax there were only two other "Americans." And that mad it even better in our opinion. And it wasn't our first cruised.
  9. We got audited many years ago Bob actually taught the examiner something she didn't know.
  10. So does that mean you won't be traveling on that line?
  11. And I'm sure he had all the paperwork to back it up.
  12. Oh, I'd never do that either. But a nice lunch with a glass of wine and then board around 3.
  13. Then I would suggest that passengers either work for change or stop complaining.
  14. This is excellent and I bet you're 100% correct. Maybe start a thread about this specifically? Thanks.
  15. If people start to play cards, knit, whatever, I can see a staff member coming up and in a very polite but firm tone saying "I'm sorry folks but we ask that passengers leave the food tables once they're finished eating." And then just stand there.
  16. Good points. Thanks. (I'm a food nut so always going down some side street to find one more octopus or something 🙂 )
  17. Pretty OT here but I've wondered why people are so 'hot to trot' to get on board. I know there are different kinds of ports but I generally seek out some restaurant whose menu sounds good and have lunch there before boarding, You'll have tons of the same food - albeit good - for the next 7/14/forever days.
  18. Pretty much every article of clothing I own is a solid color so they coordinate easily.
  19. Oh, of course. We'll never cruise enough, on any line, for that to happen 🙂
  20. You mean like on the floor in front of the check in counter?
  21. Of all the words that come to my mind here, "direct" sure isn't one of them. BTW I've traveled to six continents and have never had to resort to such.
