Hi,😃 this is going to be my first crossing. I have a sister and bil who LOVE them. I think it is probably their most favorite types of cruise. Hopefully I will love it too. I know it is a lot of sea days, which is ok with me. Funny, as I get older it is very easy for me to do a lot of nothing on a ship. So will see how many naps I take LOL

Good morning, was your flight domestic? I always book my own when flying domestically but when I book something to Europe I let them do it. Guess I have been lucky as I haven't had many negative issues. I did have something happen recently (the airline changed the time, so that was not SS's fault), but they did find me a new flight😃and hopefully going forward it will go smoothly too. Oh, I saw your other posts and happy to see you enjoyed sailing with SS as a solo. I always go solo as well and love the experience😃

Did this get copied and pasted from the Royal Boards? There is no place below to share questions on the SS forum. I am guessing the questions are from Royal cruisers.

Hi Roz, this will be my first crossing! I was supposed to go on one in 2020 but we know what happened to that one.......hopefully this will go smoothly😃 and CONGRATS on your retirement!!!!

I must have missed this thread at year end.....I have no river cruises booked right now but I just came back from a Caribbean cruise and in April I am going to Greece and Turkey. I also have a TA crossing booked for November. Every time I read threads on this forum I want to book another river cruise. Not sure what is holding me back......I am going to do some research for a river cruise this summer!😃

I would not do it. Actually, my flight home was originally 10:30 (for April as well) and my cruise rep said no way..... they were able to find another one leaving at 1:30pm. Yes, I have to stop in Europe but I am ok with that....gets me back to JFK at 8:00pm. I would look for a later flight.

None at all. You are near those venues but noise was never an issue for me. You are down the hall, depending on your cabin of course. Never heard a peep! Great location and quiet too🙂 If you take a look at the Dawn deck plans, you can see the cabins are forward. Some more forward than others. If you look, you can see the hallway, then the lounge (mid ship) and Guest Relations. It might give you a better idea of the cabin location. No noise issues at all.🙂

I posted that previous reply from my phone......not sure what happened to have such a long blank page....weird🙄 Cynthia, I went to Publix on Friday because I knew this weekend they would be so crowded with shoppers for Superbowl parties and stuff. I went about 11am and it was so empty LOL....I sometimes have to remind myself I no longer need to shop on the weekends! Going mid morning during the week is so nice🙂

Hi Que, I hope you are feeling better and whatever surgery you had was successful.

Are you referring to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami? Google "Hotels along A1A Ft. Lauderdale" and I am sure there will be tons that pop up. There are too many to name on here but there are many of the major chains that are all along that area.

Hi Melody, you always look lovely🙂

Hi,🙂 I sail solo and am a regular with SS. I can tell you first hand, a long gown is not necessary. To be totally honest with you, I don't own a dress. I am just not a dress gal. My formal night attire consists of dressy slacks with dressy tops, some nice jewelry and black sandals or ballet flats. Your black dress with jewelry and scarf will be totally appropriate. No need to buy any evening gowns, expensive or not. Hope this helps you a bit!

Thanks for that link. I may look at this place the next time I sail out of Port Everglades. Looks like a lot of good restaurants are nearby!
