  1. Thanks for the suggestion. I have a Business Class flight and will probably eat on the plane before landing. Did they have a shuttle available?
  2. You are correct. It is normally 60 days out. Congrats on the win yesterday🙂 I heard someone say it is the "Andy Reid Bowl"😃 LOL....Andy playing his former team.
  3. No need to apologize. You were just trying to help🙂
  4. I am not arriving by cruise ship. I am arriving by a flight from Europe. And I am flying home the next morning. It is a bit complicated but just to say, there are no "late night" flights for me to get home the night I arrive. And I have a credit from Delta so the flight home the next morning is already paid for....
  5. I don't think that will happen. My flight from Europe arrives about 8pm. By the time I get through customs and get to my hotel, I don't believe I will want to go back out again.
  6. Hello friends, I need a hotel for 1 night upon returning home from a cruise in April. Yes, I have researched this on line but I thought I would post the question on here and see what recommendations I can receive from those "in the know". I looked at the TWA HOTEL inside the airport but I really don't want to spend $400.00+ for one night. It looks like many of the major chains are nearby with shuttle services to and from the airport. Any help you might provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks🙂
  7. Good afternoon, thank you all for the help. I decided to keep the Austrian Air Flight. Spoke with SS a bit ago and from what you all said, I am going to give them a try. Fortunately for me, I am able to sleep on the long haul portion and from what ya'll said, their Business Class is pretty nice🙂 My flight from Athens leaves at 1:30pm and I have a 1 hour 40 minute layover in Vienna. I get into JFK at 8pm. I never mentioned this earlier but to make a long story short, Jacksonville is not a gateway city and the price for them to get me home was more than I would pay on my own. So I am flying home from JFK on my own dime. That deviation fee is way more than 150.00😮.
  8. Hi,Hank, I agree. Actually, I didn't realize there was such a hatred for Ranch. As for Blue Cheese, I LOVE a good blue cheese dressing too!
  9. Lots of Regional places too..........not sure if you had Krystal up north or not. Maybe they are a southern thing. But they are small and square and as a kid .I remember you could get 1/2 dozen of them for less than a buck!.....they always had mustard, onions and pickles on them and it was always a place that did a a great "late night" business. I think they were the southern version of White Castle LOL
  10. We are paying about 5.29 a dozen here.......
  11. I was reading about TJ's on line and I know many of you are big fans......this is about their top 9 products that customers voted on.... Here is a link to the article: https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/29/business/trader-joes-fan-favorites-trnd/index.html Kat, your owner does sound quite wealthy. When you own that much property, for sure.
  12. Hi Jan🙂we chatted on these boards all those years ago......Congrats on 50 years!🙂 that is pretty amazing!!!! I think that top is beautiful and elegant and I bet you will look wonderful in it. I hope you and the family have an awesome cruise together!
  13. If you are sailing out of Pt Canaveral I suggest you book flights to and from Orlando. Much Much closer to this port.
  14. I would check with all those major lines and see what they are offering for short cruises. Royal Carribean, Carnival and Disney are 3 that come to mind. I don't know if NCL does short ones or not.
  15. Got home from my last cruise 13 days ago. Next cruise up is in 71 days😀
  16. Florida has multiple ports. Pt Canaveral, Tampa, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami all have ships that sail........where are you going to be visiting? That would be a BIG HELP in determining which port to sail from.
  17. After reading the postings about the positive feedback with Austrian air, I will be good with that itinerary. I will know more this coming week.
  18. I would get your currency in Boston or JFK........I am not sure which cruise lines carry "local currency" on board. I would contact your cruise line and see what they tell you. I know when I sail, the ship never has local currency. They have always told me the only currency on board is the US $.
  19. I know you are the flight expert (seen many of your postings over the years on the air forum). I will just wait and see what happens. Right now they have me on Austrian Air, Athens to Vienna and then Vienna on to JFK. The times for these flights work well so will just wait and see what SS does. I will contact my gal on Monday about that United flight. I have made the decision not to stress over all this......it won't do any good.
  20. Hi, sorry you had such a stressful time. That is never fun.
  21. Good to know🙂 thank you. Is the Vienna airport pretty easy to access? I have never been there before. IF this is the flight I end up with, I have a 90 minute layover for my flight to JFK.....I was told that is plenty of time.
  22. I will know Monday. I have flown United out of Newark multiple times to Europe. It always seems to be the one airport that has direct flights.(for me anyway)......hopefully they do have access to it but if not, I will go with what is available. (not much else I can do).
  23. Thanks for the reply Les. I am just going to wait till Monday as your assessment of things changing sounds correct. Actually, if that one was available previously, I am 99.9% sure she would have told them to book it!
