  1. There is the TWA Hotel inside JFK. I stayed there earlier this year and will be there again for 1 night in September. That is as close to the planes as you can get😃
  2. Hi Terry, the flash flooding looks horrific☹️
  3. I don't own any dresses. I am not a "dress" gal. Slacks are my clothing of choice and I have never had an issue. Formal nights? Dressy slacks are always acceptable.
  4. Hi, I know I won't have time for everything🙂 was just trying to get a feel for what to do for the day.
  5. Glad you liked the hotel🙂it looks really nice on the net. I will keep the canal boat ride in mind🙂
  6. Hi girls, this has been a funky weekend. I got a hair cut, went out for lunch and ran a couple of errands and everything was going fine. (This was yesterday). I get home and all of sudden I start feeling odd...like I had caught a stomach bug or something. It came on really quick and then I got the chills. So strange......and today I feel all better. How weird is that.I didn't each much today though. Had 2 slices of toast with cheese for lunch and only a yogurt for breakfast. Hoping it was just a 24 hour bug thing.
  7. Hi JP, sounds like you both had a wonderful trip and of course the photos are awesome too🙂
  8. My informal attire is the same as my casual. I wear slacks and tops every night.
  9. I'm going on a cruise at the end of August to The British Isles too🙂 for 12 nights and all the places are new to me! Can't wait🙂
  10. I would not tell someone else to go away either. Didn't know you were the first to be seated until you posted it. Not sure how long you had been sitting there, but I still think you could have asked to be moved if you were unhappy.
  11. Oh....I like those tours too......thanks for the reminder🙂
  12. WOW Melody! Those are giant! Glad you were inside. Looks like that could really hurt.
  13. Hi, if you don't like the spot they are seating you? Did you ask to be moved?
  14. Thanks so much for the prompt response🙂 Question about currency...are Euros accepted? I will have a credit card and am not sure about your local currency. I am not really a big shopper but a local market is always interesting to me.
  15. Hi Dawn, I just know I have received 100.00 credit for not having the service.
  16. Hi, I am sailing from Southampton to Copenhagen in late August/early Sept and will have 1 day post cruise in Copenhagen. I have never visited there before. I am staying at the Skt. Petri hotel which seems to be centrally located (from what the hotel website states). I am traveling solo and would love to know how much would be walkable? I know of the famous Tivoli Gardens and I went to to the Visit Denmark website and there shows quite a few other attractions but would love to know from you experts what would be recommended. I know there is that long thread at the top of this forum but it is ALOT to read so thought I would post this to see what ya'll could help me with...... Thanks for your assistance🙂
  17. I am also a solo female cruiser and have sailed from Ft. Lauderdale many, many times over the years. I agree many areas are walkable. 17th Street is one but just remember to cross at the lights......it is very heavily traveled (traffic). And another I area I personally LOVE is Las Olas Blvd and I usually stay at the Riverside which is in the middle of Las Olas. This is a VERY walkable area with lots of shops and cafes/restaurants and right behind the hotel is a water taxi pick up/drop off location.
  18. Blacklane doesn't service where I live either. I have always received 50.00 each way (credit) on my booking for that.......not sure why you are only receiving 45.00.
