  1. Yes. Your points are calculated on your original booking so if you were already in a JS or higher, your points will be the same, even if you RU to a higher category suite.
  2. Yes - gold card on the first "full" Pinn sailing but regular GenPop card on the one where we "turned". Where you MAY run into trouble is if your C&A points haven't posted before you board again in 6 days. I recommend that you ask the LA for advice regarding your upcoming cruise. I believe the LA can post your C&A points early so that it will be clear, before you board, that you are a full-fledged Pinn. Since your husband is Masters I doubt it would really make any difference on boarding since you will both already have priority boarding. If, for some reason, you do not have a gold card waiting for you, just take it to the Suites Concierge (since you will already have access due to being Masters) and they will print you a nice pretty gold one !!! So excited for you !!
  3. We haven't sailed on Radiance in MANY years but we have a couple of B2B booked in February. Doubtful that she will see the dry dock by then.
  4. If they follow the same "rules" on Wonder that they did for us on Mariner, you will have your recognition ceremony at the Top Tier Event (usually the first sea day at 10:30) but you will not be entitled to any of the Pinn perks until your next cruise. We did not enjoy any of the Pinn perks on the cruise where we "turned" but the following week, we were full fledged Pinnacles ! I suspect that is the way it will be for you as well....but that is at the discretion of the Loyalty Ambassador. You'll just have to see, I guess. The LA does know that you are turning on this cruise, right ? Anyway, congratulations !!!! It's an awesome achievement.
  5. Congratulations !!!! A newer Pinn than me ! YIPPEE !!!
  6. When the Pinns are excluded for breakfast do they provide a specialty restaurant for breakfast ?
  7. You shouldn't have any problem doing this. You are wise to wait until AFTER lunch to go rather than before b/c if you did it early you would have to wait until regular boarding begins to re-board. It should only take you a few minutes to go out and then back on. Be sure and take your in transit pass with you but also bring your passport, etc as you will most likely have to go back through security. Only once have we ever gone out and back without having to back through security....and it was a very weirdo process where we were taken through the back alleys of the terminal....and allowed to come back through a side door and bypass security. I was shocked that they allowed us to do it.
  8. Thank you so much. We truly are enjoying it. Not sure why, but the internet is horrible on this trip. It was so dependable last week ! It keeps dropping. Not sure what the issue is but if it doesn’t get better by tomorrow I’m going to have to pay the VOOM folks a visit. We’re enjoying the use of the SL this week. It’s nice to have options.
  9. The cut-off number for Mariner (right now, anyway) is 50 Pinnacles. Last week there were 50+ so the Pinns were not invited into the SL. They set up a Pinnacle lounge in the Library and there was also Diamond overflow set up in the VCL. This week, only 39 Pinns so the Pinns are allowed in the SL. No separate Pinn lounge nor an overflow Diamond set-up in the VCL. I suspect that each ship is setting up its own parameters -at least for now.
  10. Lol. Hardly. Thanks. The weather is much better this week than last week….but we haven’t had to tango with Tammy yet. I guess a final decision on our course will be made today. We’ll see what the Cap decides.
  11. Yikes ! First I've heard of this....unfortunate, if true.
  12. Ugh. This is why we are so reticent to share a table with “strangers” anymore. There always seems to be one in every crowd. It ruins the entire meal. The “Cheers with an officer” event seems to bring them out in force. We try and sit alone if at all possible.
  13. Thanks ! We will NEVER be top dogs in the casino. We can’t even qualify for a decent certificate ! 😠😫
  14. Interesting. I always thought that casino comps could NOT use a GTY category. Not worth a measly $75 to me....but I don't even get the comp offers so easy for me to say !!
  15. Thanks !!! Are you going to be on Mariner next week ? I would love to finally meet you.
  16. I do think that the cost [to Royal] of the drinks exceeds the cost of the internet perk...but as OB suggests, the cost of the drinks is only realized if the Pinns actually USE all of their drink vouchers (which we never EVER do, BTW). The cost of the internet is not so much a function of the cost of the service, but more so a loss of the revenue that would be realized if the Pinns were required to pay for it. So, the 2 perks really have different bases. I still believe the internet to be a cheaper perk for the cruise line though....even with many of the drink vouchers going unused.
  17. In almost every case it will be cheaper to purchase the DBP pre-cruise from the Cruise Planner.
  18. Yes. We are on this one (10-13) and next week as well (10-21 thru 10-28). Had our Pinn ceremony on this sailing but are PINO (Pinnacles In Name Only) this week…but will be real Pinns next week !
