  1. The RoyalUp link has disappeared from my 8-20-23 sailing on Mariner.
  2. There is no full-sized poker table on Serenade. They do have a modified blackjack 7 seat table that they use for poker. It sucks. Live dealer - yes. 10% rake on called bets and no casino points for playing. No thanks.
  3. Actually, judging from the color key, it looks like you scored the 4 BR Villa Suite ! (JK)
  4. Score ! Yes, with a GTY room, you are guaranteed a minimum of an inside...and your cabin assignment can go "up" from there. Looks like you scored a nice upgrade. Well done !
  5. Let me add....there is a single exception to this "rule". If you purchased an open casino booking (using an offer code) on Next Cruise, you may (probably can) apply a certificate/monthly offer to that booking.
  6. The answer to this question is almost certainly, "no". The casino certificates/monthly offers are for new bookings only. Has anyone ever been allowed to apply a certificate/monthly to an existing booking ? Probably....but it's not allowed per policy.
  7. Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s either the from the MDR menu or the regular room service menu (i.e, not the CK menu). Truthfully, I donā€™t remember ever looking at any menu for breakfast. I just wrote down what I wanted for breakfast and gave it to the Concierge. I tried a number of times to call a room service order in and never had any luck getting anyone to answer, I finally just gave up and had the Concierge do it. I truly have no idea where it was cooked. It was just breakfast. It came from wherever it came from.
  8. Every ship is different but it has been my experience that ordering room service by phone is a true hassle. I have found that having the Concierge take care of my order is the fastest and easiest way. Truthfully, I have no idea if your food is prepared and delivered from the CK or from the MDR. One would think that the CK would be more convenient for the suites on 17 but who knowsā€¦. It really doesnā€™t matter. Wherever it comes fromā€¦.is fine.
  9. I'm sure I'm an outlier on this, but I have no real interest in getting to know my stateroom attendant or engage in extended small talk. I feel the same way about my wait staff in the restaurants. Pleasant ? Of course...but I don't want to have to banter about what exciting (or boring) things I did that day or find out about their children back home. Just come and make the bed, empty the trash, leave clean towels and pick up the laundry (however frequently that happens to be, these days) and then be on your way. Once a day is fine.
  10. I donā€™t do FB but Dan read me a couple of posts that indicated something like that might be afoot. ā€¦things like, Club Royal certificates can be used on X and that points were interchangeableā€¦stuff like that. Who knows if any of itā€™s true. Guess weā€™ll have to find out but I hope it is true. I want to try X but have never done it b/c I wouldnā€™t have any casino status with them and I donā€™t want to carry a bunch of cash onboard (and hopefully OFFboard). šŸ˜. Maybe the 2 brands are going to cozy up to each other; X coming to PDCC could be a sign ?
  11. What did you prefer about MSC YC over Royals Suites class ?
  12. In the very ancient distant past, I was able to convert an existing booking (not made through NC or even booked as a casino booking) to an annual Prime booking...but that was YEARS ago. I suspect they are trying to make it harder to do such things these days, as is the case for so many things... I do recommend that you try a different CR agent, @cruisetorelax44. I have had to do this many times in the past over a variety of different issues. Everyone seems to have a different answer. Just keep calling until you get someone that will do what you want !
  13. I have 14629 booked on Wonder in August. This was all [of the double balcony rooms] that was available when we booked...so I have the same concern. However, your question about whether you should move...I would say NO ! You have a sweet set-up with the double balcony and a connecting balcony with your friends. Unless you could duplicate this arrangement on another deck, I say deal with whatever noise you may have and enjoy the extra space. We were in OA 10629 in Feb. and SY 11629 in Jan. They are awesome rooms and we loved them. There is the typical noise from the pool deck (not necessarily scraping chairs, but music, etc.) but it was never anything distracting. In the evenings it was very enjoyable. We're booked in 629/229 CP 3 more times in future cruises.
  14. Recently, the only reservation that we have had difficulty with is Chops on night #2. Typically, night #2 is the first formal night (depending upon the itinerary, of course) and I guess people want to go to Chops on formal night....so the last 2 times we have tried to have Chops on night #2, we have had to make a different choice b/c it was already booked by the time we made our reservations. But that isn't a problem....we just picked a different restaurant for night #2 and went to Chops some other time. We are also early eaters and prefer 5:30-6:00 but sometimes you just have to be flexible ! We have been doing a 3 night dining package and winging it the other nights. Typically we go to the MDR at 6:30-6:45 (depending upon availability) and have never had a problem being seated. Flexibility is your friend !
  15. Utopia is more per day than Wonder for us. The Bella cruise (Wonder) is $107 PP/PD and the Utopia cruise (Bella 2.5) is $146.75 PP/PD. Same exact room (12229 on both cruises).
  16. Us too. We paid $89 each in May but I would never pay more than that. Worth it at that price (or less) but not worth more than that.
