I have done some land tours with an agency in the past and some had a single supplement and some didn't. When I inquired about the extra charge I was told that some hotel rates were priced at double occupancy, Didn't make much sense to me.

Late July and early August can be very busy on the Kenai Peninsula as that usually is the second salmon run. Also reserve your rental car early as they go fast. There is only one route south and can get quite congested ,sometimes even closed because of accidents , so allow plenty of travel time. Also be aware of bears and moose when in the wild , especially if it is a mother with young (don't ask me how I know.) Both Homer and Seward are unique towns and if time permits would be well worth the drive. I will be up there first of July to mid August as that is prime fishing time. Enjoy your trip.

It's ironic that people are complaining and stating that they are are done cruising. Then the next item you read is that future cruises are booked 100+ %.

Took a cruise out of Bayonne years ago and lost 2-3 days in the cold When I go on a Carribean cruise in the winter I expect it to be warm so I now leave out of Florida. It's a little discouraging when you watch them shoveling snow off the deck of the ship .Not a great way to start a cruise!!

Another thing to consider when fishing up there is if you wish to keep the fish for home, it is expensive to have the fish processed and shipped home. Also ocean charter prices have gone up considerably.

Why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway? or Why does your nose run and your feet smell? Very complicated world!

I have been traveling to Alaska every year (sometimes twice a year) for 25+ years. I have used Alaska Air 90% of the time as they are very satisfying . Never had a problem with them . Will start checking their fares next month for my 6 week stay this summer.

When in Anchorage try F St. Station for lunch. If you have a car check out Mooses Tooth for pizza.Also for lunch or dinner try Humpies. When in Girdwood The Bake shop for lunch and if you like Cajun food The Double Muskie for dinner. Anchorage has many restaurants depending on your taste.

Torch lighters are also banned on planes. Disposable lighters are allowed tho. Don't know about cutters. I use a punch.

We did the Halloween cruise this year on Equinox and had a great time. First cruise since 2019 so we wanted to see if any different. Some small differences but not enough to deter from our enjoyment. Also I did not witness anyone being carted off the ship suffering from starvation. The Equinox is one of our favorite ships.

Now maybe if you saw a grizzly bear, that would be something to talk about!

Was on her for the Halloween cruise. Just normal wear and tear. Nothing that would affect your cruise.

Did you stay at one of those $93 a night specials the night before cruise because " it's only for one night"?

The hot tubs are just a big cauldron of people soup.

We recently got off the Equinox in FLL The line to walk off the front was the length of the ship ..Were scheduled to leave at 7:30 but snuck off the back door (where the suite and retreat passengers exit) and were off the ship at 7:15. Grabbed a taxi ($13 ) and were at the airport at 7:45 for a 10:45 SW flight . Flight was delayed 1/2 hr. Very lucky!

Got off the Equinox a week ago and noticed there were no snacks at the bars. Another small item we missed.We did mentioned that in our review.

Just got off the Equinox this morning. Notice in room yesterday stated walk offs were to wait in Theatre until notified to leave (at 7:30). Elites could wait in Tuscan until notified .Line from theatre ran whole length of ship +. When we attempted to go to Tuscan was told to go to end of Theatre line. We did at first but when line started moving we noticed people exiting rear door of ship. We walked over to rear door and were off right away. We exited,grabbed a taxi and were at the airport at 7:45 !!!

Are the dinner menus available for viewing once on the ship ? If so,where might they be located. We are on the Equinox this weekend and they disappeared from our account.Will help determining if we should do a Speciality rest. instead.

Never traveled when younger and am making up for lost time. The clock is ticking! Trying to see the world before I leave it or it leaves us.

I typically go to Alaska anytime in June till August. I start checking fares in Jan. I check every day as they can change from day to day. I also book when I think the fare is low but that always is not the case. If the fare goes down Alaska Air will give you future credit for one year. No problem for me as I go every year at least once. They are a very good airline to deal with .( I fly n/s from Chicago)

I can relate to some of the incidents mentioned. Being in my " Golden Years " sometimes the one thing I miss the most is my mind !!
