  1. Or just go have some tea sandwiches and treats at 4 p.m. and hold off til dinner! Or you can always get salty snacks in the bars before dinner and as mentioned above occasionally canapes. Great canapes at all the "parties" like Captains Welcome, Silver Seas Society, etc.
  2. Really only with Apple, which is a bummer. You can get an App for Android that will read an airtag that you find, but that doesn't really do any good for finding your lost bag as far as I can tell. There are a couple of Airtag knock off for Android, but haven't been impressed with the reviews. Going to try to use my friend's old Apple SE phone and see if we can make them work. Other option is to ask a friend with an iPhone to track them for me.
  3. Most reliable way to sign up is go the Wines of the Old and New World tasting (included) on the morning of the first sea day which will be listed in Passages (sometimes a side picture ad). This is where you can taste many of the included wines and meet the sommeliers. They will have a sign up for the wine lunches or dinners at this event. The wine tasting is a great way for the sommeliers to get to know you and learn your preferences. I only like dry wines, so they are used to my asking at dinner about what I would like. You can ask for any of the included wines in any venue. They may have to go get it from somewhere, so you might need to be patient. They generally have a red and a white that is recommended at each meal, but if they aren't to your taste, just ask for something else. I seem to find a couple whites and a couple reds as my "fallbacks" for the cruise within a couple days. On our Splendor TA in April, the Sommeliers were taking sign up on embarkation day in La Veranda during lunch. We only had one on the TA and it was a champagne tasting lunch. Or ask the sommelier in one of the restaurants. Or call reception and have them leave a message for the head sommelier. I think they are a GREAT way to use OBC!
  4. As implied in some of the responses above, there are two kinds of OBC, refundable and non-refundable. I'm sure the OBC given by Regent is non-refundable. However sometimes OBC given by TAs is refundable. You can cash in any refundable OBC and then donate it to the crew fund. Just go to reception and they will do it for you. Pleased to say that Regent charges your non-refundable OBC first and saves the refundable OBC for you until last. On your account, they will indicate what you have in each category.
  5. I was able to get tickets for both the lecture and House by logging in about 15 minutes before midnight Amsterdam time for August. Hope you also got them. It was July 4th at 2:45 p.m. in Tucson, AZ US.
  6. Nice to see you here since my cruise buddy is considering a Seabourn cruise next year. Better single supplement for her. Looking forward to a comparison from you. Couldn't find a Regent / Seabourn comparison thread on either forum. I would be encouraged by the "what I like about Seabourn" responses since these are the things that I like on Regent too. Martha
  7. Sounds like your cruise might be the last one to require a test!
  8. @UUNetBill Absolutely agree with your post above! One of the reasons I sail with Regent is because I only need my keycard to get into my room and onto the ship in port! Sincerely hope we sail together someday! Martha
  9. Yup. Just did our online checkin yesterday. Upload an ugly selfie of yourself (they re-took mine at port in April) and choose Port Arrival time.
  10. Check Voyage Health on the RSSC website for your particular cruise to verify, but yes, currently video proctored tests are accepted.
  11. We're we on the same Douro cruise starting April 28?! Nm. Just noticed yours was 2018! Martha
  12. Here are the requirements for that cruise https://www.rssc.com/voyage-health/EXP220713
  13. If you are not in Conceirge or above suite, hotel is not included in the cruise fare. So, using standard Regent air would have you arrive morning of cruise with a transfer to the port, which would probably be a red-eye flight in this case. Many people choose to pay a deviation fee of $175 in order to fly in a day early and have a choice of flights. It also allows you to book flights 270 days in advance rather than wait for Regent to assign flights only 75 days ahead. Using a deviation, you do not get an included transfer from airport to hotel. If you are not Concierge or above, you would be responsible for your own hotel and transfer to port.
  14. I had problems adding another stateroom recently and just called the main number and they were able to do it.
  15. No USB outlets in the 100 cabins. Reception has some European/USB plugs you can borrow. I had a "river" day the day of Salemanca and it was great. We were onboard first week of May and weather was pleasant, but they told us it is "toasty" all summer.
  16. Gilly, I was just thinking of making a reservation for June 22! Do you want company? Just noticed you already have @briar14 joining you. Would 6 be too crowded? Martha Mjjvance@msn.com
  17. We only have 90 minutes for that layover. Plenty of later flights though.
  18. Agree that contact info for your transfer person with an explanation of where to meet them will be included in your email. Our transfer driver called us at the Lisbon airport when it was taking an inordinate amount of time to come out of immigration because of lost luggage. He assured us he would wait however long it took. I think he was carrying a Scenic sign. Had all the same pre-cruise concerns about Scenic's lack of communication, but once we started our pre-cruise tour all was well. Communication and service "on the ground" were excellent.
  19. We are doing an Ama Wine river cruise in Bordeaux with a pre-cruise in Bilbao in the Spring. Maybe you should join us!
  20. I noticed a couple of included reds that I enjoyed on Splendor in April were missing from the Navigator list above: Cashmere Black Chateauneuf-du-Pape
  21. They are back on Splendor as of April TA. Chef Kellie is terrific. Since we were the first cruise back, I never saw an option to sign up online, and so we went to the kitchen the first afternoon to sign up. I think from what others have said that normally online sign up is available when specialty dining reservations are?
  22. We are too. Ordered Inspire tests and made an appointment to test on Zoom at 9 a.m. Copenhagen time the day before we board.
