  1. Yes, CCL needs cash now, maybe they should call JD Wentworth?
  2. if you have a port stop in Costa Rica you can go on a banana picking excursion
  3. Yea I've heard back in the day there were plenty of restaurants that would cook your catch for dinner in Cabo
  4. Didn't show up on the airport x-ray machine?
  5. Yes, they were has good as they are on the ship
  6. I cooked the 2 lobster tails last night for dinner, so I guess we will never know, and yes the post was a joke.
  7. DW and I are going on a 7 day Mexico cruise starting this Saturday, so we try to eat all the perishables in the house since we will be gone all next week. She reminded me 'don't forget the lobster tails in the freezer" while I do our meal planning. So this got me thinking if we brought these on board in a cooler could we ask them to prepare them for us on the first dressy night of the cruise in the MDR? Otherwise we got to pay the surcharge to add one of their lobster tails while dining in the MDR? What do you think?
  8. Your card counts down your free play bets on machines. Once you get to 0, you can then cash out your cash balance on what you have won from the free play. Remember it's $400 in free play, not $400 cash.
  9. I wouldn't be so quick to judge someone on a commission only job. If they are treated like the spa personal they could be cut lose at any time and kicked off the ship at the next turn around day if their sales are suffering comparted to their colleagues.
  10. Yes, people have been sailing on the ship for about a month now , make with the pictures please.
  11. probably not, call your PCC. Maybe if you and the other 4 or 5 star mariner in your family can book separate rooms and then once on the ship your guests get the 2nd special fare room. I know this is possible with Casino offers. -Paul
  12. Oh, the ship had 2500 passengers, the most I've seen on a HAL ship since cruising re-started. The Casino was always busy every night and Sea Day. There were lots of Casino offers on board.
  13. I was the youngest of 7, and I've always had a public facing, public service job so I relish my solitude when I can get it.
  14. Overall, it was a great cruise. I was solo on a casino offer which I upgraded to a V category cabin, 7131, which one of the angled balcony Verandah's. Service was good everywhere especially in the MDR where I ate 6 nights of the 7. I had early fixed seating table for 2 just for me. Quick service by my MDR stewards and I was done eating every night in about 45-50 minutes. I've given up on anytime dining and always go for early fixed and have had no problems with MDR service this way. My Pinnacle Grill dinner was excellent. Wi-Fi was horrible, I had the premium Surf plan, and I could never use my phone at Sea, maybe because I have a Samsung and Navigator app is designed for iPhone? Wi-Fi at Internet Center on HAL PC's was horrible too, had to wait forever for popular webpages to load, HVAC varied throughout the ship, either really cold or really hot depending upon your location. Luckily my cabin was very cool, probably coldest cabin on any of my 22 HAL cruises, which is a very nice oasis during a Southern Caribbean cruise. I saw outside contractors on board working on both the HVAC and Wi-Fi issues during the cruise, although neither had gotten better by the end of the cruise. No Mariner Bruch, and no Mariner Tile delivered to my room thanking me for my 4 star loyalty. Oh well.
  15. FLL and MIA airports still open. MCO and PBI are closed or will close soon
  16. How can you tell in the announcement that it may re-open on the 10th?
  17. Everything works, except when I add a new cc for the onboard expenses. Twice now after logging off and back on. I guess I can call -Paul
  18. The airport is a short ride from Port Everglades. If you Get off the ship by 7am and you should be OK. Remember you aren't the only cruise passenger wanting to fly out of FLL that morning, so security lines could be long. In General I would not book before 11 am, same goes for San Diego. -Paul
  19. It's important to have barcode and pin # of each gift card
  20. Yea I guess Orange is one of the NS colors. Shucks
  21. So I'm waiting for my VH GTY assignment on the Niew Stantendam on 11/12. So I went to see if a cabin # was on my luggage tags. No Cabin #, but they are orange color. Does that mean Club Orange and a Neptune Suite upgrade? Thanks, Paul
  22. I think the norm is more like 7-10 days. They try to upsell everyone and then they start assigning the GTY's.
