  1. Not available at the outdoor grill on Discovery pool deck in April. I was looking for them...
  2. Indeed very regrettable that they wait till after final payment to send the notice of change!!
  3. Maybe they don't want to take any new bookings, being the first cruise - shake down cruise, hence limit the capacity. I doubt it is sold out.
  4. Slightly off the bike subject, does Princess allow a scooter, not the mobility sit-down one, but the kind one zips around on foot?
  5. In theory, book a cruise as close to $900 as possible including port fees, taxes and PVP. If you can't go, under CFAR, you will get a new set of FCC minus the insurance premium.
  6. Yes, it is an image problem that they are mostly concern with. SURPRISE, not!!
  7. Using you booking number to get to the personalizer to manage your booking without logging on.
  8. The crews are regularly tested so it captures a number that probably reflects the state of cases whereas pax are only tested if they report or if they want to get off the ship, that leaves a % of pax that are not tested, thus the true case numbers will not be known.
  9. @PescadoAmarillo@t&atravel Thanks for this critical piece of info. I will verify!!
  10. @toofewcruisesu just trying to use up the bonus FCC that has an expiration date of 12/30/2022. I would not have paid real cash to do a cruise at this time.
  11. Thank you! The cruise is paid for by FCC to begin with. The only possible unverified benefit I could think of is with Princess insurance, maybe there is no expiration date for the refund FCC, and plus the cancel for no reason freedom if I don't like their protocols or service level.
  12. If I am driving to homeport and cruise in my home state, not high risk of getting serious disease from COVID, why would I need to get insurance?
  13. I still have the same issue. Never did it get resolved but was unwilling to spend any time on the phone after one chat that proved the csr is clueless.
  14. On 10/1 when the cruise with confidence and protection program expires, if you are denied boarding because of a (+) test, will you be entitled to a 100% FCC? What is your take? According to the Princess FAQ dated 7/11: Guests who test positive for COVID-19, as well as their family members and close contacts, will not be allowed to sail and should not travel to the ship. If you, your family members, travelling companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19 and are not permitted to board, you are entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). If you are denied boarding at the pier because you tested positive for COVID-19 on embarkation day, change fees and reasonable expenses related shoreside quarantine and travel home for you and your immediate travel party will be covered by Princess if not reimbursable from medical insurance, a travel protection plan or other responsible party. Any meals during shoreside quarantine will be covered by a per-diem meal allowance as communicated by a letter provided by staff at the pier. (No receipt retention is required.)
  15. I hope you run into the medical center staff and give them a hug, prolonged handshake or something...see if they run away. You would know whether you are (+)...
  16. Does the insurance allow cancel as late as on the day of sailing? If so, maybe cancel after your cabinmate checks in and on board?
  17. Sounds like an IT fiasco messing with the database.
  18. It will bring more Covid to the crew, then they have to isolate, as a result, service would suffer due to lower staff level.
  19. Wonder if that also means no weekly testing for the crew...
  20. I am in such category that you described. Mulling over whether to buy PVP slightly out of pocket on an Oct cruise that is paid for by FCC...
  21. I am only aware that Hal extends their policy to end of 2022. Any other lines? I was hoping Princess would extend it but looks like they are going to let it expire on Oct 1.
  22. Well at least you have a name. Maybe you could find her email address some way somehow!
  23. Just as important, air out the cabin for a few hours...
  24. First, people argued why they needed to report to medical if they are asymptomatic, now it evolved to even if they are with symptoms, they saw no need to report and are perfectly fine to expose the crew...just an observation.
