  1. Depends. Sometimes it’s months. Sometimes, weeks. Sometimes, not until you board. It’s a total crap shot. But, you at least know you’ll be on the ship.
  2. I’m not sure. Even on the Cloud in Antarctica, they allowed three of us in a Vista. SS just rolled in a bed right next to the couch. Let’s not give Silver Queen any ideas.
  3. Looks like they raised the price on kids post-Covid! Could not imagine 6 passengers (2 adults + 4 kids) in a Vista or Verandah suite, regardless of age.
  4. Terry, copying and pasting your link yesterday and today provide the same message whether on a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. Even when going to your profile and going through the 78 pages of activities, there is no post from 2015 of your Amazon trip. There are posts from your time in Dominica, Bonaire, Aruba, and Curacao that you made in August and September of 2015, but nothing on the Amazon. Could it be your Amazon link is in some sort of archival system that only you can see as a CC user?
  5. Depends on the voyage, but during Silver Princess's pre-teen and teen years her fare was typically around 30% of our adult fare, as she was the third passenger in the same suite. In Antarctica, when celebrating her 21st birthday, her fare was 80% of ours in the same suite.
  6. Yes! Thank you, Spins. It was a cold and early morning at home today. And, it’s only warmed up to 5° so far at the lunch hour.
  7. Yes. Prices hit $7 a dozen this past week in Colorado.
  8. Add one more and you can join the club many aspire to belong to; Que’s Three Drink Minimum.
  9. Alaska is radically different than Antarctica. Plus, tons of kids are on Alaskan voyages.
  10. Do they have high chairs or booster chairs for a 5-year old? I can’t remember. Silver Princess didn’t sail on SS until she was 11. It was easy at that age because she loved to read, play cards and board games, and readily conversed with adults who engaged her (Duct Tape, JollyJones, Rojann, etc.). And, even though she was quite independent and well behaved at 5, I couldn’t imagine taking her on SS at that age.
  11. As a young whipper snapper in my 50s now, I am more excited than I probably should be at reading this.
  12. Que, I think I may have found a new member for the three drink minimum club.
  13. Yes, always stick with those companies that you have been well pleased.
  14. That’s a great question, but not one I know the answer to since we never book SS Air. Sorry.
  15. What constitutes “Preferred”? Is that like when SS opens the extended schedule to Venetians only?
  16. According to his reports, looks like a trip of a lifetime. Well, not all of the flights, mind you.
  17. We ALWAYS take the air credit. I couldn’t imagine putting up with all the hassle some folks here do with SS Air. I like the convenience to pick the exact day I want to arrive and depart, select the flight, grab our preferred seats, and voila! Easy peasy. No back-n-forth between cruise and air departments, waiting on communication for days, or paying any deviation fees. Hope this is the feedback you were looking for.
  18. Why was DL allowed to market it as “direct”? Or, was it just a one off due to an unanticipated equipment change?
  19. The weather down to and including Coquimbo has been spectacular so far, according to reports on board. Not from chrism23, mind you.
  20. For Canadians, the D2D prices are a steal since the CAD price = USD price.
