On the subject of connecting various devices to cabin tv I have a question. My wife and I like to watch a nice movie at night when we retire for the day. Is there a way to connect an external hard drive to tv ? I have heard of people doing this but was hesitant to ask others until now after our tv service had numerous interruptions on last cruise on the Silhouette.

That is the worst thing I am always afraid of is that my luggage is either lost or snagged by the "Naughty Crew". I have had to go to the naughty room twice since I have been cruising. At least I always carry 2 changes of clothes and basic toiletries in my carry on.

Someone made a post that once they reached Elite level they stopped receiving PUP. Wow ! I reached Elite and I have not gotten a PUP notification in awhile, but, plenty of X email.

We had a similar incident on the Silhouette in November, 2022. We had "Select" dining so we were seated upstairs. Every night for the 10 night cruise there was a very large group that sat downstairs and they would sing along with staff of 3 musicians and singers and they would sing, very loudly, with live music, "Take Me Home Country Roads". The first time we heard it, it was cool, but c'mon, every night, 2-3 times, enough is enough.

I haven’t seen this topic posted yet, if it has I must have missed it, apologies. On our last X cruise in November last year we had a problem with our SeaPass cards. There was this “film” that started peeling off the cards. I thought it was some sort of protective coating, it wasn’t. We went to Guest Services and the staff member said not to remove the coating because that is all your vital info. Ok, but the new card started peeling again, before it totally peeled away back down to Guest Services. I spoke with others in line who were having the same issue. I prefer the old embossed cards. Anyone have knowledge about this change ? Thanx

We have not eaten in the buffet for dinner in many years, not saying it's not good, we prefer MDR. From what we have seen through pictures from cruisers who are currently onboard, it does not look bad, still lots of choices but condensed.

We love to talk with other people from all over the world. We have made some really close friends over the years, England, Scotland, India and of course the USA. It never hurts to talk !

Observation: On our last cruise in 2022 we observed a young lady, 30ish, sitting a a table for two but close enough interact with neighbors, but she did not. She sat alone, ate and left. To each their own but its always more enjoyable to banter with others when on a cruise !

I have been following posts from different forums concerning menu changes for RC. I have seen the tests menus and they look fantastic ! I love the idea of nightly theme in the MDR. I am assuming and hope that X will follow suit. We have cruised on X a lot and current menus old and outdated, need something different and new.

We have cruised with X a number of times but never really paid attention to the status of Wi-Fi on ships, never used until last cruise with basic Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi was very unpredictable and when you did connect it would cut out or stall. I really don't need the Wi-Fi, its nice to be able to send text and send/receive e-mail. My question is we get basic Wi-Fi with the "All Included", but since we moved up to "Elite Status"I see we get 90 minutes of free Internet, is it Premium or Basic ? If it is Premium I may pay for the difference to be able to stream music, maybe a tv show. So since we have Basic already how does that work with the free minutes you receive for your status ?

It was easy ! My past 4 cruises have been with X and Embarkation has gotten easier and easier each time. Our last cruise on X in November took about 10 minutes, we did our E-Muster and in the Oceanview 20 minutes. We just showed our documents and passport. TIP: Have all your required items need for Embarkation in hand, it goes a lot faster !

We are know new to the "Elite" status, have not cruised since we reached this status. Anyone have the HH menu ?

We were recently notified after our last cruise in December 2022 that our status was upgraded to "Elite". My question is about the bag of laundry per cruise. I have seen the laundry bag in our cabin closet, not very big. How long does it actually take to get laundry back after sending it off ?

We have purchsed a digital photo package every X cruise we have been on. The latest was this past November, as soon as I got home the link was already in my inbox. No problem downloading. Just once we had an issue getting the link, it took nearly a month to correct, eventually we got them.

Question: We have only sailed on Celebrity but are interested in cruising with HAL in 2023. We have noticed a lot of HAL cruises start and end in Fort Lauderdale on 2 legs of B2B. So do more passengers board when they return to Fort Lauderdale the first time or is it closed just to folks already on board ? When you return to Fort Lauderdale the first time do you have to disembark and go through customs ?

I’m sorry if you take offense to my reply. But, who needs tv on a cruise ? Seems to me there is just too much stuff to do other than hanging out in your cabin watching tv.

I know everyone has different situations with passports. I applied for new passport in the midst of the pandemic and was to,d it would take at least 60 days, bummer. in fact, I got new passport with passport card in 3 weeks.

I think you will also be asked in person at check in.

How and how many points ?

Besides seeing this new requirement for testing in posts and now posted on X website did anyone get an email notification ? The posting on the X website is pretty straight forward.
