  1. And also on Navigator, Mariner, and Voyager.
  2. Caviar every Sunday whether sea day or not. Easiest to go to La Verandah for breakfast and have all you want (they may portion control but no issue on returning for more).
  3. On port days La Verandah should be open 0700-1000; on sea days 0730-1000. Can open earlier if early tours. Compass Rose is open for breakfast all days 0800-0930. Lunch is 1200-1400 in La Verandah and 1200-1330 in Compass Rose (rarely) or in either of Prime 7 or Chartreuse. Dinner is usually 1830-2100 in Compass Rose and 1830-2130 in other restaurants; really dependent on how crowded the ship is.
  4. And your credit card should show payment to Regent and not your TA; if you are paying the TA instead of Regent I would be very concerned and find a new TA.
  5. We booked a five segment Grand Voyage as an H guarantee for next year. Since they say you are guaranteed "a' suite in H or higher, I figured they might assign us early so as to ensure that there is a single suite available on all five segments. So far, still available suites in lots of categories so they haven't assigned us yet; I am thinking that they might do us earlier than a few days before to ensure a single suite for the entire trip; time will tell.
  6. And if you are on the Grandeur five days later. Don't know why I mentioned Mariner and Navigator; they are November 2024.
  7. 15% but really immaterial as final payment will be due on 6 July if on Mariner (or 25 July if on Navigator)..
  8. Army, I still prefer getting the check instead of refundable credit; I don't need to be walking through Miami airport with thousands of dollars; and since I haven't used a brick and mortar bank in over 15 years, cash just sits at home. I sure wish things would just stay the same. 🥲 I know everyone has their opinions and I am probably an outlier.
  9. Automatically taken from OBC; you don't have to do anything. Any additional charges you will be asked to provide credit card. Marc
  10. I would do a pre-cruise to Seem Reap to see Angkor Wat. Easy to book on your own. I would then allow plenty of time to see Bangkok and surroundings. Flying in a week early should be sufficient. If you have never, been I would second the recommendation on seeing Taj Mahal. edited to add: Your cabin appears to be right under the smoking section; did you really want to be on deck 9? I really like Cat E on deck 6 for convenience.
  11. One more data point. We are on Explorer Tokyo - Tokyo - Vancouver next April. My early investigation of frequent flyer tickets led me to add air back onto this itinerary ($2700 plus $249 secondary hub per person). I was investigating what options were likely and found a Singapore Airlines flight from LAX to NRT. When I looked at what it would cost to book the flight it was 123,000 KrisFlyer miles per person. I then transferred 246,000 Chase Ultimate Reward points (earned from $82,000 of travel spending) and used DL miles for AUS-LAX and YVR-AUS. So, I now asked TA to remove Regent flights. I still haven't ever used Regent air but our cruise next June is a no-brainer to use Regent air so will finally get to experience the planning process. YMMV Marc
  12. We enjoyed the same cruise and had a constant supply of 1/2 liter water bottles in our room. We took them ashore and didn't have to worry about carrying them back.
  13. Compass Rose not open for lunch on embarkation day. La Verandah open until 1400 (or maybe a little later) and then you have pool grilll until 1600.
  14. Good luck! Luggage forward (and I assume similar companies) do not accept liquids so you will either have to do without liquids or check a bag. We were a bit disappointed when we thought we would have only checked bags but ended up having to check one.
  15. just ask and you can always get the plastic bottles.
  16. No; unless they changed their policy since last year.
  17. I have always kept the old books to see the progression of prices; I guess now I can throw away the old one once anew one comes out (of course having historical books also lets you see changes in itineraries). Marc
  18. Must be a change; but still not too bad.
  19. Deposit is $500 per person per segment even for Grand Voyages; don't know about world cruises.
  20. Agree. Did a search by "ports of call" and didn't see any itineraries that were truly new. I would like to see LA - Hawaii round trip and three day Bermuda trips again (48 hours in royal Naval Dockyard doesn't cut it); haven't had those in years (it seems to me). I would also like to see more North Africa cruises with multiple days in Egypt (I know there is one this year) and Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya; 20 May 25 on Splendour does look interesting, though. edited to add: I can't seem to find any Black Sea cruises; even to Constanta or north coast of Turkey.
  21. Most of the 2023 Trieste departures have been changed to Fusina EXCEPT the Grandeur 18 November. There was a report on here a while back that the Grandeur would also be moving to Fusina but nothing has happened. If we are to leave from Trieste I would like to spend last night before cruise in Trieste instead of Venice. If Fusina, obviously I would stay in Venice. We are in Venice for almost a week before this cruise. Does anyone have definite information one way or the other? Or, is the decision still TBD? We are getting close. thanks, Marc
  22. I have 333 nights on Regent currently booked. Has anyone figured out the dry dock windows from the summary on pages 176-189?
  23. Did you even look at the brochure? There are NO prices. 🤑
