  1. I could not find that at the link in the post. Which subsection is it under?
  2. If you book any guarantee category without a room assignment, you have to be willing to accept that you could get the worst room in your category.
  3. Grab a deck plan and call. You might find something great.
  4. Nothing wrong. They're just higher category than aft. Most people would not see it that way.
  5. If you opt out and there is an available upgrade, you don't get OBC. It's only for when there is no better cabin available. I learned that the hard way. And beware the spa cabins that are an upgrade over even the aft rooms on the Pinnacle class.
  6. When you cancel, the $ goes back to whatever you used to pay. HIA and gift cards are pretty much immediate. Credit cards can take a few days if it's an interbank card like Mastercard or Visa.
  7. Make sure they put a Link ID on the bookings. You need to be in the sane room and you have to be in the same order on the booking for a link code to work. If you are switching rooms or passengers 1 & 2 are flipped, it won't work. Guest services can take care of it if you can't link the bookings.
  8. I feel like I'm letting people down if I fail to mention the Club Orange tote bag. It's better than the best tote bag. It's "bester."
  9. I think that the Vista Suite would be better for a family due to the extra space in the sofa area. Other than that, it's really just a longer balcony room.
  10. Onboard has a slightly different flavor of the future cruise OBC instead of the welcome back VPM. It's higher than what you get once you're home.
  11. It's 330 from the cruise end date/disembarkation date. Also, OP - use a web browser not the app. A bigger screen will be your friend here.
  12. The check out process for the HIA specialty dining is pretty straightforward. You simply check the complimentary dining box and the price drops to zero.
  13. We were looking at two other cruise lines and you really have to do your homework to determine what's what. I have seen $4 to $7 variances in the same drink. I'm looking at specific call liquor brands.
  14. I'm with @LAFFNVEGAS Get an updated booking confirmation. You can get that from anyone who answers the phone. You don't have to wait for your PCC.
  15. Doe that mean you've reached Hole-y Mariner status? 👼
  16. Or, could it be that The Bubble of Awesome has time travel powers? (That's my theory.) ⏰😁
  17. I was shocked but delighted to see that our specialty dining reservations showed up more than 8 months before our March 2025 Nieuw Statendam cruise. We're traveling with 2 other couples and I figured we'd have to wheel and deal at the dining podium for 7 PM reservations for 3 different HIA bookings. I found the dining availability by dumb luck yesterday when I logged in to the website. (All quiet in the app.) I was not expecting to see them until 5-6 months before sailing.
  18. If you know how, turn off MAC randomization when connecting to the ship's network. Otherwise, your device will present itself with a new MAC (hardware) device ID every time you move between access point areas. Please note that this is all on your phone, tablet, or laptop operating system. The ship's network has nothing to do with it. You will keep presenting yourself as a "new" device and you'll have to log in to verify the "new" machine. Check your Android or iOS documentation for instructions.
  19. The Rotterdam's top forward deck is the Sky Deck (14). You get to it by using the forward, port side elevators. The starboard side stop at deck 12. Alternately, you can take the outside stairs up from deck 12. Go out the doors that face the Retreat Cabana area and head up the steps.
  20. Cellular at Sea uses a combination of ships' Wi-Fi and piggy backing off roaming. I'd think that you'd be better with the premium HAL plan if your phone and carrier support Wi-Fi calling. One GB is not a lot. Speeds should be pretty close because you're using the same pipe. You might lose a wee bit if you have to hop on or off the Cellular at Sea network instead of straight Starlin.
  21. As someone who lives right near a port, Port Everglades, I can tell you that (1) schedules are published pretty far in advance, and (2) operational issues change the schedules very frequently. For instance, on a weekend, we'll have many cruise ships with the exact same scheduled departure or arrival time. They can't all arrive or depart at once. There aren't enough pilots, tugs, Coast Guard escorts, or space in the turning basin or the Shanahan River (aka the exit channel to the Atlantic Ocean.) The port will jigger the schedule closer to the event dates to accommodate traffic - and yes, times do change by up to 2 hours. Northern ports have to deal with tidal swings that are much higher than the two feet or so we get, so that's another complicating factor.
  22. Nothing in particular. VS is aft on the newest ships. VQ is spa.
  23. So, basically "rocker age". Tip o' the hat to you
  24. Don't besmirch Michael Philip Jagger. I thought we were friends. 😁
