  1. Have a word with the Hotel Director and take him through the fiasco. I never have dinner in the Colonnade on any Seabourn ship because that's where they put all of the staff that are training before they let them loose in the MDR.
  2. Another good reason why I always do my own tours.
  3. Thank you for your Frank review. I will not try Viking as it would be like going to an IKEA store and having meatballs in the restaurant.
  4. I thought that's the way your post was going. Lovely suite on Viking but step outside of it and you're in the real world on a Viking ship and all that it offers you.
  5. I agree Tonic doesn't really work with porridge. Wise decision by the wife
  6. If you want cheap cruises move to Poland is my take on this. Seriously,if you book with a TA in a particular country then you will get the price as advertised in that country. I have done this before especially US or UK based TA's
  7. I always take the first tender and then get on the cable car I have breakfast at my favourite place and go back to the ship as the island starts to get busy if there are a few ships in
  8. They drink so quickly that their glass is always half empty.
  9. That's a bargain. Some guests swear by it if they have no loyalty perks . Apparently you can stuff so much into one bag that you can do a weeks laundry for the price.
  10. I agree and always prefer a dining room breakfast. The Colonnade has proven rather popular with the majority of guests so that's the way it has gone. Use it or lose it could be the moto. Lunch is a no brainer and makes complete sense.
  11. Ask nicely and they will endeavour to get some for you.
  12. Exactly Julie. I think it all depends on your disability and access needs. Some vessels will be easier to get around than others. Never seen anyone with a small scooter having problems getting around.
  13. Whatever next, the Captain laying on the sofa having a snooze.😁
  14. Indeed,I have never seen this before as you say a word with the Hot Man should put a stop to this.
  15. It's not staffing cuts it's actually staffing issues. The hospitality industry at sea and on land has a real problem with getting staff especially after the pandemic as many in the industry left and got jobs in other sectors. All cruise lines are actively recruiting and that is why you see service issues on every line as new staff are being trained. It is easy to criticise and get upset because "we have paid a lot of money for this and we expect five star service" but we must be patient as we also see in land based restaurants, after all we are on vacation and life is good if we can afford the thousands of Dollars/Pounds to be lucky enough to travel.
  16. I thought it was to keep their dance cards in.
  17. It's a small ship and very few stay on board. Larger ships have to open dining venues as they need the space because there are too many guests to seat in one or two venues.
  18. With my days sailed I get my own lifeboat 😀
