  1. I have our test kits in our carry on and a few extras in our checked luggage, hoping that nothing gets crushed. They are very bulky and I had a choice of packing clothes or packing emed test kits for 3 of us in bubble wrap. Starting tomorrow we will be traveling for a week, hopefully the test kits will survive in our luggage, plan "B" is to find a place in Vancouver to get tested - I was very sorry that my first choice of a testing location is closed for the month of June. Our cruise leaves on a Sunday, we will try the emed kits on Friday, giving us a day to scramble if necessary.
  2. I just got off the phone with my TA who called Celebrity and they can't force the edocs and luggage tags until 14 days ahead of time, we are 16 days out. So, if you are within two weeks out, sit down with a book, or a cup of tea, or something stronger, and be prepared to sit on hold for a while. I would especially be concerned about details on your land tour package, that phone call should be worth your time.
  3. And the people lined up to slowly move to coach can't cough on anyone in First Class or Business Class! Only the larger planes have First Class separated from coach.
  4. They do exist, we are traveling with a friend - I have access to his Celebrity account, he received his edocs and luggage tags two weeks ago. Our luggage tags and edocs are still grayed out. I am only hold with my TA now, hopefully they will be able to do something since they sent an email 10 days ago telling me to print my luggage tags! Since our cabins are next to one another, if necessary we'll just print out extra luggage tags for his cabin and have all of our luggage sitting at his door! But that is not really a good solution. And I do miss the pre-printed luggage tags.
  5. Yes - but many of us are getting NEITHER e-docs nor luggage tags. We are traveling with a friend, his e-docs and luggage tags are available to print off - I know because I have linked our reservations. A couple of times a day for the past 10 days (since his luggage tags and e-docs became available) I have checked and our e-docs and luggage tags are still grayed out. We will be traveling for a week before our cruise. If we don't have luggage tags before we leave home, I will just print out extra copies of his luggage tags and have all of our suitcases delivered to the next cabin. I did purchase luggage tag holders from Amazon knowing that the really nice tags were no longer being mailed out, and I would actually like to be able to use those tags.
  6. Solstice is out of Seattle, Eclipse and northbound Millennium cruises are out of Vancouver.
  7. I have been doing the same with DH, although now that there are separate lines to enter CC numbers for the webinars, I only do them once. I was getting emails for DH with his CC number count, but that stopped a few months ago, which didn't bother me as long as we were both Elite. He should have 3 points less than I have, but when I had him log in and check, he shows as having 175 points. That was the total we had before our last cruise 3 years ago - 14 nights in Aqua. I did call Celebrity a month or so ago, only on hold for an hour and was reassured that he really had over 300 points. Our Xpress passes both show that we are Elite, but his point total remains at 175 points, never reflecting the webinars or the quizzes. Hopefully the CC Host/Hostess on our next cruise will be able to resolve this in person. Otherwise when DH retires I'll make him try to get a job with Celebrity IT!
  8. Did anyone else get points added sometime yesterday? I expected points on the 14th of this month, but not on the first or the second of the month.
  9. We are 27 days out from our cruise, 3 days ago the friend we are traveling with had his edocs show up on his account. As a result I keep checking our account assuming we aren't far behind. An hour ago I received an email from my TA reminding me to check-in (we did that), and print our luggage tags. I hopefully logged into my Celebrity account, no edocs, no luggage tags yet. I purchased the Celebrity luggage tags holders and am determined to actually use them!
  10. I save everything pertinent to my Dropbox account and for items that I feel are of greater concern, I flag it for offline access. And then I bring printouts in a plastic (so it can’t get wet) folder in the order I will need things. Since I started doing all of this there have been no glitches, or anything to cause nightmares.
  11. I was about to post that I finally got beyond the frozen screen, and then it stopped again, I now have an oops, we can't connect you - and refreshing my browser doesn't do anything. I guess I will have to watch the recording.
  12. My points actually just showed up. I did not expect them until much later today
  13. We are crusing at the end of June and were able to check in on the app 45 days before our cruise. Our shore excursions are showing up, but there are no menus except for half a week's worth in the MDR, this doesn't help us in Blu. The Healthy Cruising information was recently updated - not sure how accurate it is, but they now have more information than they did a few days ago.
  14. I wasn’t that rude to the steward. The table was well away from the railing and that area of deck 11 doesn’t have balconies or open smoking areas above it. And it was a deep balcony on the little front hump.
  15. On the balcony of our first Aqua cabin there was a cigarette butt on the balcony table. I quickly ran into the hallway, found the steward who we had just met and firmly asked him to remove the cigarette butt. That was probably the only time I ever demanded anything from a room steward, I was quite upset that he obviously hadn’t checked or cleaned our balcony. I had no intention of throwing it in the trash myself.
  16. And if you got the $12 before discount rate, it was worth the wait, because sometime yesterday the price went up to $16.80 before the discount.
  17. Sorry to correct you but both the Solstice and the Eclipse are S-class
  18. Yes, just continue to hold in order to get the discount. I’ve been on hold so often that the sound of a human voice makes me jump. And then I have to remember why I called.
  19. Vancouver cruise port information can be found here: https://www.portvancouver.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/2022-Cruise-Schedule-as-of-April-29.pdf - there is only one ship on Monday June 20.
  20. Thanks for posting this. I just had DH log into his account, and more than 125 points are suddenly missing from his account. They were there the last time I checked a couple of months ago, and his current total excludes the last cruise we took in 2014 (14 nights in Aqua) as well as all of the Power Up Points he has earned in the last 2 years. I will be calling Captain's Club this week.
  21. I have spent far too much time figuring out where to get our tests. I think that I have settled on this place: https://covid-medical.ca/#covidtestpricing they have a location at the airport - which someone on CC said he had used regularly before flights to the U.S. There is also a location at 1055 Canada Place Way, they had the lowest price of the 3 testing locations I found at Canada Place and the price is refundable before the appointment if it is cancelled. We are traveling in late June, and spending a couple of days in Vancouver before our cruise. My plan is to book two sets of appointments. One appointment on the day before we embark, and one appointment after our post-disembarkation shore excursion before we fly back to the U.S. I doubt if the testing before cruising requirement will go away anytime soon. The ships can only handle so many sick people on each cruise. It would be nice if the U.S. requirement is dropped.
  22. Thank you for starting this thread. I am compulsively collecting the information for all of the testing sites near Canada Place. I just found CVMedical earlier today - they are the least expensive of the 3 choices, and the cost is refundable if we cancel (or at least I think I remember reading that). I was hoping that someone would report back their experience with these companies - again thank you.
  23. Does anyone know about Solstice? Weren’t both Eclipse and Solstice off the coast of San Diego? I would assume that both ships are having the same problem.
  24. I found two place that appear to be across the street from one another - https://www.empowerclinics.com/covid-19-testing/ is at 900 Canada Place and charges $130 CDN for a rapid antigen test - https://pcrtestvancouver.ca/ is at 404-999 Canada Place and charges $85 CDN for the same test, and also has reservations open through at least June. Does anyone have any experience with these two places? I'm not sure how many emed tests I want to be carrying around for 3 of us, I will have them just in case they are needed. Since we are on vacation, we don't really want to spend too much of one of our two vacation days in Vancouver running around trying to save a few dollars in an unfamiliar part of the city.
