  1. I am not trying to be harsh but I have a problem with the whole ship within a ship concept. When certain cabins have their own dining rooms, menus, bars, pool areas etc. they can basically have a trip just for themselves and not have to deal with the common folk. I only used Cunard as an example because it is the only line with the class concept and insistence on formal dress I have encountered so far. I no longer own a tie and stopped traveling with a tux over 10 years ago
  2. The plus package decision really comes down to how many drinks, sodas, waters and specialty coffees they will have. For us it is a no brainer but if they won’t use many drinks it may be better to go ala carte Also take into consideration that in a cruise atmosphere they may have more drinks than they might at home
  3. I assume you have contacted the line to tell them what you intend to do. They are the ones to give you correct information if it is even possible
  4. The beam obstruction in the Vista suites are no big deal to us. Still room for 2 loungers, table and chairs. The Royal class mid ship suites have the narrowest balconies I have ever dealt with and the still cram all the furniture out there
  5. I have a female friend you likes to dress in hot pants and extremely low cut blouses. Ok with that around your children ? There are places for everything but not every dress is ok for everywhere
  6. Sealed packaged food only. I have aren’t people take food they brought on board then take them off. Also many ports have laws against bringing food off and may have dogs to check for them
  7. Most ships have the separate dining area for suites and club class mini suites but it is simply an area blocked off within a MDR with no wait great service and an extra entree each night. Otherwise same menu as the rest of the MDR. Full suites also have a separate restaurant for breakfast. But it sounds like the next ship coming out the Sun is more of what you are looking for. Some of us do not care for the Cunard style classes
  8. No change in suite perks. Breakfast is usually in Sabatini’s.
  9. Yes any color jeans are accepted on casual nights. I wear blue jeans all the time
  10. We love aft suites. We generally sail in Vista or Penthouse aft suites. On those where the are no shelves in the bathroom we utilize the area near the safe. Works out great
  11. I am very affected by strong perfume and colognes. Can we just ban the use of them throughout all ships
  12. There has been one nightly on all 4 cruises I took in 2022
  13. Again put your voyage number into the Princess health tool and you will get the current protocol or they will tell you it is not decided yet
  14. Except that the door to Churchills keeps opening and closing. Just walking by the door when it opens feels like I smoked a pack
  15. Easiest way to quit is to get lung cancer. Happened to my wife 6 years ago and we both quit in 3 days. She is now cancer free for 5 years
  16. Asking as the WiFi lrr we ta me check news, sports and wordle I am happy
  17. Even if smoking was banned or allowed only on certain nights you still have ships where Churchills smoking rooms are basically an extension of the casino door opens smoke pours out
  18. No more ties at all for me. Don’t even own one. Here in Portland we hardly wear even slacks except maybe funerals and weddings. For Broadway type shows jeans will do
  19. What I don’t get is if the changes make you miserable than why do you continue to cruise with the line and/or post to this board ? I for one love the lights to show me the way to the bathroom
  20. That is my understanding as well. It would be very difficult for the bartenders dealing with 2 versions of the plus package. In the past if you asked what liquors fit in the plus package they would point you to the area of the bar where they had them grouped
  21. Yes In fact you cannot make reservations in club class. I have never waited more than 2 minutes to be seated
  22. Unless something has changed it has always been the difference between your plan maximum and list price plus 18% and of course it counts as one drink on your plan
