  1. Our regular embarkation night dinner is Sabatini’s. We do either call the dine line when we get onboard or stop by the venue if it is on our way to the elevators like on the Grand. We like to eat after 7:30 and never have an issue
  2. The perks you have mentioned are usually elite benefits or associated with a package
  3. The plus cruise package includes 15 alcoholic drinks per person per day, unlimited non alcoholic drinks, one device WiFi, Crew Appreciation which are pooled tips (you may want to tip some individuals also, it includes 2 casual meals per cruise or cruise leg some extra desserts and gym classes but basically we get it for drinks, WiFi and gratuities. It must be purchased for the first 2 in a stateroom 3-4 drinks per day per person usually makes it a no brainer if you don’t drink alcohol than maybe not a good deal
  4. Yes but they loyalty reward was for some OBC not Reserve Dining which is what the poster was alluding to. Upgraded dining has never been a loyalty reward
  5. How many people go over 15 alcoholic drinks a day ? I would venture very few so this is not something that hurts Princess
  6. On the Grand last month never asked to share just ordered one pizza never charged extra and the even split it on 2 plates. We have never had any issue on any ship either sharing a Vines charcuterie
  7. As far as I know all ships use both but there is a limit of the expensive machines
  8. The main difference seems to be the extra specialty dinners. Before you were limited to 2 per cruise and new plan is unlimited. They also changed from 15 drinks a day to unlimited but if you don’t ever go over 15 that is a moot point. You also get a free SD on embarkation night for being in a full suite No one really know is there will enough tables for all premier cruisers to eat in SD every night
  9. Just call the dine line when you arrive or visit the venue once you board that way you can get a time you can live with
  10. Pardon I should have said $60 per couple and I still cannot see me on a sphere class ship and on 14-21 day cruises it is just too expensive as I have no problem with the limits on plus package
  11. Well on the Grand they are using Crown Grill at lunch as the salty dog Gastropub and where are you going to put things MTG and Tuscan lunch
  12. Since reserve minis are much cheaper than full suites why would they get the package and the full suites don’t
  13. Add in all the full suites who have guaranteed SD dining on embarkation night and that could shut out premier packages on that night on ships with only a few venues
  14. $60 a day per person more than plus package is hard to find a value for me. My drinks all fit in the plus package sand if I eat more than a few specialty dinners per cruise would cause me to gain weight
  15. Would that be a different menu from dinner ? I sure wouldn’t pay as much for a smaller menu but really don’t need to eat a big steak in the middle of the day. Plus what would keep this upgraded class of passengers from booking lunch and dinner for every day of a cruise ?
  16. As a suite passengers we get a complimentary speciality dinner on embarkation night no tip is added. When we pay for one later in the cruise the tip is added. Experience tells that if it is part of the package there should not be an added 18%
  17. Questioning again what is meant by reserve suites. There is no designation like Sanctuary suites on non sphere class ships. There are Window, Vista, Penthouse , Grand and Owners suites and not all on every ship
  18. Suites have nothing to do with specialty dining except for embarkation night dining and reserve minis have never had anything to do with SD. Can you explain your post
  19. My comment was to say that you are paying far more for those suites on the Sun than suites on other ships. I sail in Penthouse suites with plus package and I know I don’t pay as much as those suites would be and there is teally nothing on the premier package that would warrant extra monies
  20. If you are in a full suite they will work with you on specialty dining. We were told last week at Sabatini’s breakfast that. Crown Grill was 100% booked but they would find a way to fit us in
  21. Vines is a charcuterie board plus veggies plus truffles. We often split one for lunch
  22. But you are paying more than a full suite on Royal or Grand class ships would be my expectation. We regularly sail at casino rates in full suites and almost always pay les than $300 per person per day with plus package and insurance. There is very little that the premier package have that I would use
  23. I believe Covid is the only thing that you can be recompensed for since as far as I know it is the only thing that the sips medical will actually quarantined for. It is also the only thing where vaccines are only effective to a degree I am vaccinated for everything and have only gotten flu once in 20 years. I have been vaccinated for Covid twice a yea and have gotten it twice but a very mild version due to the vaccination. Measles is almost impossible to contract if you are vaccinated. If I owned the line I would only give FCC for Covid if the person who got it could show vaccination records as an effort to minimize the disease but that is just my opinion
  24. I really don’t see standard cruise fare ever going away We would probably not take it if we did not drink lots of coffee drinks and cocktails We will probably never book with premier as long as the plus plan suits our style of cruising.
