  1. Indeed and I expect this obc offer comes out of a different box to fares and there will be many who dont ask or just dont know about the offers. I wouldn't want this scenario to tip the balance and the cruise line not be able continue . I hope the number crunchers are on top of this! For now I am pleased to have received the Black Friday deal.
  2. Here in UK , I contacted TA who in turn contacted Azamara and they have today just added the obc to our b2b next year. Happy Days…. I’ll have no problem spending that!
  3. Sorry only just seen your question . It was a Standard balcony cabin .
  4. Indeed Phil. We came across Darren on Quest in April , he joined our trip to Pompeii and we chatted with him and then thoroughly enjoyed his one man show in the Den and his contribution to white night. Grace was on our cruise in January on Journey a real pocket rocket. Both great assets to Azamara. X
  5. On Quest. Predicted high winds replaced our first day in Tinos to Syros. However the pilot would not come out this morning, so we are on our way to Mykonos where we were due to dock tomorrow, for an extra day now. Captain Jonas is keeping us informed. Fingers crossed.
  6. On board Quest from Athens. Full house although 9 denied boarding because of incorrect vaccine paperwork. Large group of 94 onboard and 90% of the ship is new to Azamara!
  7. These are on the vanity unit, plus there are 2 extra sockets by the bed and the usb located under the bedside wall lights.
  8. Yes ours on Onward in August did not require to hold down a button. They were regular hairdryers and a step up from previous offerings.
  9. Sorry no idea why. Perhaps Phil just wanted you to know how fortunate he was ! Not sure how you cancel notifications.
  10. Nice one Phil, but I thought you were looking after that V2 for when we get on the following cruise! 😂😂
  11. In August we had our first White Night meal on deck after 12 cruises of dining at another venue and then joining the dancing afterwards. It was a balmy August evening, lovely and still and really was a great evening. As we usually cruise April and October it’s a bit hit and miss with the weather and being wrapped in a blanket is not my idea of fun. If all the stars align we may go again but having a choice of other dining areas is really helpful.
  12. You can click on order history at the top of your account and it brings up the booked excursions, what you paid, and whether as obc or card. Earlier today I cancelled and rebooked immediately for a nice saving.
  13. Hopefully you will be able to make the most of the new ports of call as it doesn't look like there is room for any regular cruise ships in Doha☹️ I have just been reading on the MSC boards that they have just completely cancelled their 27 November MSC Opera cruise and the early December one also. This ship will now join MSC Poesia and MSC World Europe as hotel ships docked at the port for 13,000 football fans.
  14. We had an Antigen test at Heathrow at 10am and checked in at Athens Port at 2pm the next day. We showed our certificate to Port Authorities about 1.30 who then gave us a wristband to proceed to the terminal building.
  15. Oh No…Its certainly a lottery for sure! We will doing Athens embarkation again in 3 weeks, perhaps we’ve had our lucky moment ! OP could take heart that if things are delayed getting on board, then its the same for everyone.
  16. It is all Port dependent but recently we were able to get the paperwork completed shoreside just after 1.30pm in Athens for a 2pm checkin. They called us through just before 2pm. We were at muster station meeting onboard with bubbles in hand at 2.05pm for the 10 minute briefing. Headed to the room, dropped hand luggage, sorted the speciality restaurant bookings and were having lunch in Windows by 2.45. Would agree with @uktog that Speciality restaurants on first night tend to have plenty of availability.
  17. Yes White Nights have returned fleet wide. There are pictures of White Night on Pursuit in Nantes on another media site , just this last week.
  18. We tested at Heathrow ( yep more than €10!) before we flew out the day before the cruise. We had our certificate before we even checked in for the flight. It was one less thing to worry about on morning of cruise.
  19. We met someone on our cruise who did a €10 antigen test in a city pharmacy in the morning. .When he arrived at the port, his email with certificate had not arrived and he was grateful to be able to test at the port. We all know we can get it done cheaper, but the ship pays for someone to be there all day just in case you need it and the cost is reflected in that. You cannot complete check in at the port in until you have that certificate either paper or on phone/tablet. We all await the Greek Port Authority to change its procedures. Who knows….it could change tomorrow 🤞
  20. If you check countless other cruise lines , they all require testing to board a cruise ship in Athens. There is no requirement to test to enter Greece. So its an anomaly that we have to live with until it changes. It was the Port Authority that checked our antigen and PCR certificates at Athens Port, before allowing us to enter the buildings, it is nothing to do with Azamara.
  21. These were the transfer times at end of August. We were on 6A. Journey was about 2 hours 20 minutes. Our flight was at 12.50 . BA check in to London didn't open until. 2.5 hours before. As your flight was booked before port change, I think Azamara will step up to the mark and there may be an earlier transfer available. On Quest in May the transfers started at 5am!
  22. Its a shame the Team are talking about the Wifi outage and its implications on Journey and then mentions the work is being done in Pursuit ! Proof reading at its best.🤷🏼‍♀️
  23. The most recent review was June 2022, 3 months ago. Several thousand have cruised on Onward since then (myself included ) and no new reviews. I am as guilty as anyone else in not doing a review, but a lot of discussion does take place on this forum and any concerns are answered fairly swiftly. Up to date information is key. There is no doubt that the early cruises after refit had more than acceptable problems . We had a wonderful cruise in August but others may not have. Hope you enjoy Pursuit.
  24. There is adequate shade at certain times on the Promenade deck 5, either side of the ship. If you dont mind not being by the pool. There are loungers there.
