  1. There are one or more NCP car parks nearby that you can book in advance online. I used one when I thought the ABP parking was too expensive - now I think it’s the best thing ever!
  2. I think I copied it from my sister’s login for something but I don’t know where she got it from
  3. Thank you so much for doing this review. You’ve helped me twice as I needed inspiration for Kristiansand next month and also a reminder of how near the Flam railway and Stegastein bus stop are. I really like your writing style too (and the window cleaning!)
  4. Log in, and then click on Plan my cruise, and then on the calendar icon top right.
  5. Hello, short answer is no, unless you want to pay for a speciality restaurant. The buffet will be open and so should the mast grill on the pool deck I believe. We chose to go to the sushi restaurant on embarkation once which was a good decision as it was empty!
  6. Thank you so much! I did not know this! I have been considering booking on board and this really makes it worthwhile
  7. We had the price drop during Covid only and now it’s gone. I checked when we booked last August for our cruise this July. I managed to get them to match a price I found online and honour $100 extra OBC from watching a webinar (I was a week late claiming it) but I checked about repricing later and that was a no for UK customers.
  8. Yes it includes soda. Anything over $10 you pay the extra +20% gratuity. See attached for what’s included 2024+Celebrity+Cruises+Drinks+by+Package.pdf
  9. Here’s the current drinks package flyer. 0% versions of beers are listed with the alcoholic beers not in the zero proof section. Non alcoholic cocktails are included in the zero proof package but it’s not clear whether other available 0% drinks are. Logically they should be but I wouldn’t bet on it! 2024+Celebrity+Cruises+Drinks+by+Package.pdf
  10. Yes you pay the difference and 20% gratuity on that additional amount
  11. There’s also the deluxe porthole veranda cabins which we’re booked on in July for the first time on E class. We chose it after looking at lots of pictures and videos and it seems like a good value choice for us. We don’t sunbathe and are going to Norway so it should meet our needs.
  12. Nope, perfect thread. Brenda was the original author whose brilliant review I came across 5 years later when searching for something else!
  13. Short answer, probably! There are some big box stores that aren’t included in the move up programme. I’m in the UK and have only ever booked direct. Have a look on the Celebrity website. Be aware that you can make bids on multiple room types, and edit your bids until one is accepted. As soon as a bid is accepted it cannot be cancelled and payment will be taken.
  14. I just got an email and it’s day 81! I’m going to watch and see if the minimum bids come down. I’m not interested in suites and I think a SV is less good for Norwegian fjords because the scenery is to the side so looking mainly at Aqua.
  15. Looking on the app for the current Apex cruise it says just the $5 late night charge. Then for next week’s cruise and my July one it says the usual $10 except continental breakfast.
  16. I came across your review through a search I was doing. You are such a funny writer 🤣 I’ve been reading bits out to my other half. I think our favourite was ‘running around like a squirrel on crack!’ Thank you so much for writing the post a whole 5 years ago now.
  17. Thank you for starting the thread. I’ve been wondering the same. We’re at 91 days out with final payment due end of the month (we’re in the UK so different final payment date)
  18. Norway for the third time! All the way to Tromso, Honninsvag and a day trip to the North Cape! I have all 29 bars and restaurants (minus suites and blu) on a list to tick off on apex!
  19. They are obviously a lot less spacious balconies but we’ve booked a deluxe porthole veranda on Apex for this summer. I did a lot of research and partly for price and partly to have a proper balcony we went with the porthole after reading and watching reviews and looking at photos online
  20. Thank you so much for taking the time to do a comprehensive review @JackE We’re going on our third Celebrity cruise this summer and are considering trying Virgin. The aunt that got us into Celebrity always went with her late husband so we might take her (and my mum) on Virgin as a memory free alternative. We’d look to sail out of Portsmouth, UK and maybe try a 4/5 night cruise to Amsterdam to start off with.
  21. The 2024 timetable is available and we’ve booked for July already. Just search online for Norway’s best
  22. Hi, has anyone got a picture of the paper daily planner for a recent Apex cruise? Destination doesn’t matter. I’m in full read and look at everything mode for our July artic circle cruise! We didn’t use all the spaces on Silhouette after she was revolutionised so I’m going to aim to try every venue at least once! Ok maybe not every speciality restaurant! But every bar, lounge and relaxation space I can find!
  23. It should tell you on there, both the percentage discount 45% and the dollar price. Mine is in pounds sterling as I’m in the UK
  24. Does Best price guarantee still apply to UK bookings? I can only find a price match promise on the UK website and only if the lower prices offer is available elsewhere on the day of booking. I used to do really well phoning up when the deals changed and saved £400 in one call once!
