  1. I never sailed on the Horizon but I sailed earlier this year on the Glory and Valor. The both had tea time.
  2. Carnival has restrictions on checked luggage but this is not enforced. I have noticed many people with huge suitcases. (I think they may have a few kids in them.)
  3. I know the rule about unopened beers in a general bar since they do not want you to pass the beer off to another person- especially an underage one. As for the straws, I noticed some people bring plastic ones.
  4. I doubt anyone will measure it so I would not sweat it. Enjoy
  5. Yes, prices are up but I expected it. I have three cruises booked but not have to take a break after those.(But click through a few mock books and they weren't that bad.)
  6. Right I know there were stories out there. I saw it on the Florida news yesterday but the original poster indicated there were no stories about this incident (although they linked a video about it.)
  7. I am confused- no story up yet on this inciddent but there is a video?
  8. Carnival sell a sling for the water bottles on the ship.
  9. The liter bottle are big but we take them to shore.
  10. I got some I-messages, Facebook, and Snap and Chat messages plus notifications from my security camera.
  11. If you a past Carnival cruiser, you also get a free 1L bottle of water.
  12. I get a couple of lobsters but it is not Maine Lobster.
  13. Right, it is not summer camp or basic training.
  14. We did two cruises in the last year with FTTF, it was 14 days for us.
  15. Since the Half Moon drinks are not included in the 15 drinks many Cheers folks should like that since many complain that they aren't allowed to buy extra drinks. Of course, if Carnival and Holland American wanted to find a way to use the drink package there, they would but the current system is a means of generating more revenue.
  16. The Sign and Sail card is not used electronically so they had no way of keeping track of the amount of drinks. Since the Half Moon drinks are not included in the 15 drinks many Cheers folks should like that since many complain that they aren't allowed to buy extra drinks.
  17. Then just like us, Cheers does not seem cost-effective for you. Enjoy.
  18. Remember there is also an 18% service charge on all drinks. If you plan on having a few drinks every day then Cheers make sense when you include the non-alcoholic extras.
  19. Please don't chunk the empties over the side of the ship! (I saw this on my last cruise.)
  20. One solution is to buy or rent a mobility scooter. Dozens of people will have them on the ship. (please make sure her doctor has cleared her and make sure there are no undected medical concerns.)
  21. Ok, I agree but I am just reporting what I have observed.
  22. I can only confirm what I observed on more than one cruise. I notice many people with Cheers would order an alcoholic drink with a sports drink, a soda, or water on more than one occasion. Some rather openly shared the drinks with others.
  23. I have noticed a few excursions offered on the ships that were not online before the cruise.
