  1. IF she can ambulate from the parking/shuttle area to the terminal, you might want to consider renting a scooter on-board. She can get wheelchair assistance from the terminal onto the ship, get the scooter from her room and leave it there when she disembarks. Just a thought
  2. We used one last year with a standard (balcony) room and it was fine. We DID move the "coffee table" out onto the balcony (at the advice of the stateroom attendant) so we'd have room to do a 180 in the room. It's WAY easier to go forward through the door coming and going. We had room for one of us to sit on the loveseat with the scooter out of the way. You can reach out to special_needs@rccl,com and they can help you with specifics for the ship/room she'll be in. We rented from Scootaround and their "standard" scooter is 21" wide and fits just fine in NON-Accessible rooms. If she has assistance opening the door, etc, she can probably get by with a standard room. Accessible rooms (may?) have electric openers and be laid out with more room to navigate, especially the bathrooom.
  3. Seems like they wanted us off by about 9:00, and seems she was pretty empty by then 🙂 How are you getting to the airport? Could take "slow shuttle" and kill time that way. There are things to do in Galveston, but toting luggage likely rules that out. Post over in the Gulf Coast Departures forum and you'll get plenty of responses.
  4. Didn't find anything searching, and we're cruising May 7th. What are the logistics for wheelchair/scooter seating for the AquaTheater? Deck plans I can find aren't very helpful. Looking for someone that's done it or has pointers to existing threads I missed. Thanks in advance.
  5. Enjoy your cruise. We were on Grandeur last fall and she's still a great ship. Lots of peace and quiet and not so much bells and whistles.
  6. I believe it's just a credit, but if you call the number they can get it all sorted out for you. REALLY helpful folks there.
  7. We were on Radiance last month and there was a remote WITH Input button 🙂 Last year we had a TV that would "automagically" detect a dongle in the HDMI when powered on so didn't need to change input manually. YMMV of course 🙂
  8. The folks at the table next to us last month asked for them every night and they USUALLY came WITH the entree, sometimes a little late 😞
  9. We were on Radiance last month and while she DOES have Starlink (on the roof), the network "inside" the ship is still the "vintage" WiFi that was installed when they first "upgraded" from CyberCabin (wired cable you rented for the week :)) Captain said they HOPE the WiFi gear gets upgraded next drydock (2024?) I had GREAT luck using the Business Center/Voom area PCs that are actually WIRED to the network that bypasses the old WiFi gear.
  10. Those times are a crowd control process. If there's no crowd to control, they can be relaxed and in my experience (at Galveston) they are very flexible during the early periods.
  11. Wouldn't kid about breakfast 🙂 I started ordering something any time she did just to avoid the wait. WASN'T A PROBLEM, just a change to the way things "used to be" which is happening all over these days.
  12. It was all meals in MDR last month. Wife wanted a croissant at breakfast and I had to wait for her to finish that before they brought out the entree plates.
  13. I STILL have Spectrum and am waiting for yet another Tech Visit today to resolve a recurring "provisioning" issue that the phone people can't resolve. MUST have a tech come out and make a call to HIS escalations group to fix whatever they keep breaking.
  14. I bought one package and now have $100.00 of OBC available to spend in the cruise planner 😃
  15. There was not in January when we boarded Radiance. This was her first trip out of the new terminal so the whole Key process was "lacking".
  16. Last month we didn't get multiple items at the same time. I had to wait if wife got 2nd app. Seems to be inconsistently practiced.
  17. Not sure if/which they may block. I seem to recall having issues with some of the VPNs I've used in the past, but can't recall anything specific, sorry.
  18. I used TeamViewer for 10 days just fine. I DID use a PC in the business center which was hardwired to the network as WiFi on Radiance was pretty spotty/slow.
  19. Should appear in the Cruise Planner (big banner at the top of the screen).
  20. I THINK I saw these on Radiance earlier this month, but wasn't really shopping for them. Is there something special about the ones on WOTS?
