MSC is the only one I know of that will do a match with anyones loyalty club. Royal has one with Celebrity. But I don't think any of the Carnival Corp brands do a status match

Casual Drinker with Premium Package first time
Woody14 replied to Woody14's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I caught one of the sales where is was cheaper to get the premium than it was the classic, so I have it and it is all paid for. -
Looking for drinks to take advantage of getting premium for the first time. I don't drink a lot, do like a good glass of wine, craft beers and frozen cocktails. My go to on a cruise is usually a frozen margarita/daiquiri mostly cause I don't know what to order unless it is on the menu. so I am looking for some suggestions to give a try in order to get some value from Premium.

3 day cruises are often the booze cruises. That said cruise lines do offer them a lot so there must be a big market for them. I live in Vancouver so flying to Florida for one would not be worth it to me.

Exchange Classic Drink Package for Zero Proof Drink Package
Woody14 replied to dorakk's topic in Celebrity Cruises
last year it was no problem to change the classic package to what they called the premium non alcohol package, they had 2 different non alcohol packages then which now has been replaced with the zero proof package. I would think they would still do that. I would call Celebrity and inquire. -
Celebrity Eclipse dining with oceanview room
Woody14 replied to Christinky's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The experience for food and acitvities is the same pretty much no matter the room catagory. True in some of the upper catagories they get a different restaurant than the main dining room but that is a 1 for 1 trade and some say it is an upgrade some would say not. the other food options are the same for all. If is true there are less options that on some lines (like carnival during the day) but the food quality in my mind is better so the less variety in places to eat has never bothered me. There are some great to exceptional specialty dining restaurants on the eclipse (and celebrity in general) but they are an upcharge for everyone. The buffet (oceanview cafe) is serving food of some type pretty much 24/7 (does get quite limited really late at night/early morning). Celebrity seems to put most of the casual eating options in here rather than having separate venues like some others. They do also have the mast grill which does great burgers (included) daytime. And some of the other places like the coffee bar and smoothie place the food is included. -
the only place I remember seeing peanut butter rum was St Lucia but that was many years ago I don't remember the place or how they were set up however as all those places kind of blend together.

San Diego hop on hop off bus worth it?
Woody14 replied to Woody14's topic in California Coastal / Pacific Northwest
Thanks for the post. Yes my quick google search found the one link you showed. I did ask if there was more than 1 company, I probably could have put in the link to the one I had found to save confusion, sorry my bad. I agree hop on hop off is always subjective, as it sounds like you are familiar with the area would you recommend it for San Diego? -
Is Celebrity still doing this where you can drop your luggage in your room upon embarkation or are we back to holding it with us until 'cabins are ready'?

it will depend where you are going. I have this list of countries that technically require the 6 months. But with your passport only being checked when you board I have seen that not enforced at times. The countries listed here require you to have a passport with a period of at least 6 months upon arrival: Afghanistan Algeria Anguilla Bahrain Bhutan Botswana British Virgin Islands Brunei Canada* Cambodia Cameroon Cayman Islands Central African Republic Chad Comoros Côte D’Ivoire Curacao Ecuador Egypt El Salvador Equatorial Guinea Fiji Gabon Guinea Bissau Guyana Indonesia Iran Iraq Israel Jordan Kenya Kiribati Laos Madagascar Malaysia Marshall Islands Micronesia Myanmar Namibia Nicaragua Nigeria Oman Palau Papua New Guinea Philippines Qatar Rwanda Saint Lucia Samoa Saudi Arabia Singapore Solomon Islands Somalia Somaliland Sri Lanka Sudan Suriname Taiwan Tanzania Thailand Timor-Leste Tokelau Tonga Tuvalu Uganda United Arab Emirates Vanuatu Venezuela Vietnam Yemen Zimbabwe

I have cruised out of Vancouver a few times. One thing to remember is that Vancouver's cruise season is just that a season. So at the beginning of the season you get a few hiccups as they work out the routines, with new staff, ships et all. The cruises I have taken have been July or August and have not experienced a 'shambles' it has been very smooth and no different than most other cruise ports. In my humble opinion the inside passage sailing is worth it.

Cheers Package - Prebuying 10% off gone?
Woody14 replied to angelhelly's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Not saying your wrong but RCL's has a higher limit on drink cost so you can get a lot more top shelf items, they have no limit on number of alcoholic drinks (cheers 15 per day). -

Does Carnival offer room upgrade bidding?
Woody14 replied to kelbell's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
that was not true for me, i turned down offers twice for my cruise at the end of this month, I actually received 2 more offers, one I ignored and then finally they made me one I decided to take, it was a least the 4th different offer for the same cruise. -
the 15 drink limit is on alcoholic drinks there is no limit on the non alcoholic ones.

Do they mix the age groups at the kids club?
Woody14 replied to dulcemariamar's topic in Disney Cruise Line
Disney is pretty strict on ages. With the number of kids on board an average Disney cruise it would quickly become chaos if they started making exceptions. -
I don't think it matters as I have had offers both before and after. It really is driven by the demand they see for the particular type of cabin you have booked.

Makes sense I had not noticed that.
