  1. Better to ask over on the Carnival board. Also, take a look the deck plan and figure out exactly what is above you. And give more details about exactly which cabin you are in.
  2. Many people report that VPNs don't work on the ship's internet. Didn't for us.
  3. Dock tour pick isn't a thing in much of the world, including Hawaii. Caribbean and Alaska, yes. Most of the rest of the world, no. Most of the islands don't have a lot of extra tourist supporting personnel, or a lot of taxix just sitting around. I would pre-book.
  4. You might be correct, but I think you are counting on a lot of things to come together perfectly.
  5. With those itineraries, Cunard would appear to be the far better route, unless the hours in port are severely limited.
  6. You need to read the posts above. The one way tunnel...the only way out of Whittier.. is closed from 11pm to 6am. The tunnel allows outbound traffic every hour, on the hour, as I understand. Your transport would have to be in Whittier overnight, have you on the vehicle for the 6am passage, or wait until 7am.
  7. No laundry for pax use on any HAL ship. But there is laundry service, as described in this thread just a couple threads down the board:
  8. The deck 10 area above the pool is not cabanas. Its loungers open to any one. The spa hydropool is a wonderful serious hut tub with great jets and therapy action. It is much better than a hot tub.
  9. A Whittier resident could walk off the ship after docking and go home, if they wish.
  10. The "years ago" Noordam issue was damage from a very windy storm in Alaska. AFAIK, that was repaired and cabanas are available on Noordam.
  11. Probably about 7am. That flight is going to be a challenge.
  12. Good chance it will be Terminal 18, unless its a weekend day.
  13. Think that is the Oosterdam which got some cabana damage and it hasn't yet been fixed.
  14. There is a reasonable chance it will be the same Terminal, depending on the cruise line involved.
  15. There are actually several discussions on the Italy board on this topic. The Mods will very likely move it there.
  16. Its a boat tour, so if the boat is full, its full. I don't think they could justify another boat without knowing they can sell it well.
  17. We need more specifics. What cruise line(s)? Have looked at the websites for those cruise lines? Yes, I believe every cruise has their 2024 schedule out.
  18. @cruzer0007, you went through the Amsterdam Centraal Station. That isn't a mispelling.
  19. Tipping is entirely personal, and totally up to you. There is no right or wrong answer. It will depend on how much service they provide. By the way, there will be at least two attendants, 3 on the Pinnacle class ships.
  20. The promotional cup only applies the the Freestyle machine on Koningsdam, N. Statendam and Rotterdam. It doesn't affect your ability to have a soft drink in a restaurant or similar, or at all on any other ships.
  21. Sorry you fell, and it severely affected the balance of your cruise. What exactly was your injury? Hmmm...a disaster? I don't think so. You just didn't get everything you wanted. Bluffing the ADA, a US law that has little or nothing to do with this situation. Faking crying?
  22. Look at Post #18...all explained there.
