  1. As OleSalt liked your post, I assume Santa Barbara is the one. But Monterey also meets the criteria described. And is smaller, already usually pretty crowded, thus a 3k ship load would overload Monterey pretty easily.
  2. HAL has a sailing from Lisbon? Yes, tipping in Europe, which is not really anything close to tipping in the US, is discussed heavily on the various Europe Ports boards.
  3. Take a cab...usually the readily available vans are over priced. Might be OK if you are a solo.
  4. There are varying times when passports are held by the ship. It is definitely not all the time.
  5. This is more appropriate for the Cruise Air board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/77-cruise-air/ It sounds like you have booked a "codeshare". You booked through Delta, but the flight is actually operated by ITA. This means you are subject to ITA's rules, not Delta's. ITA may have rules on paying extra for early seat selection...I don't know. Usually, you need the ITA booking number (a 6 character identifier for your reservation) (NOT Delta's, but ITA...you may have call Delta, or dig around in the Delta booking and/or website to find it). Once have it, go to the ITA website and follow directions there on finding out your flight status, using the ITA record number and your last name.
  6. You buy the tickets at the train station. The options to get there are discussed here frequently, usually in reverse, as in getting from the train station to the ship. Taxi, if available (there are restrictions on taxis in the port), would be the most direct, but taxis may not want to take the short fare. More likely you need to take the free port shuttle to the outside dropoff, then either walk, or take the bus that goes direct to the train station. The fare was 2 euros, I think.
  7. I would ask on the NCL board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/
  8. Yes, there is a blow dryer and make up mirror. Some will complain the blow dryer is low power. Yes, there will be plug on at least one side of the bed. Wifi is subject to line of sight and demand. Being the fjords will be narrow and deep, line of side can be affected. As its a sea day, demand will be high.
  9. I would be talking to your doctor, not to a bunch of people you don't know, and probably have no medical knowledge. They certainly don't know your medical situation.
  10. Orange Party has nothing to do with Orange Club, and vice versa.
  11. I would not want to leave my bags there with a rush of bags coming off the ship. Remember this a strictly humans only, no mechanical supervision process...ripe for problems.
  12. Its not a big place, you just pull up at the front of the building. There are definitely porters.
  13. Where are you flying to? Can't think of ANY reasons you would be doing Immigration or Customs at the Anchorage airport. Any Immigration or Customs requirements were met when you boarded the ship in Vancouver, or worse case as you exit the ship at your final port.
  14. The Hilton actually in the airport is a great hotel, and doesn't require a shuttle.
  15. OK, a B2B? You probably with turn around in Whittier.
  16. Your boarding pass will say "Priority" on it. You may board any time after boarding begins.
  17. Frequently discussed here. They don't seem to pay much attention to the assigned boarding times at the pier.
  18. Rome in Limo. Mentioned here quite frequently and a huge thread just down the board. Wonderful company.
  19. Many discussions here on this topic. Generally, hotels are cheaper in Ft Lauderdale. Then a shuttle ( easier to book for earlier in the day) will be cheaper than Uber. But you would need to stay at a hotel, or close to a hotel the shuttle services transport from.
  20. So this is about RCI? Best to ask on the RCI board. But there is more than one "Navigator ".
  21. Google search weather for a couple of your ports. For example " August weather Bergen".
  22. The cabin usually has an account, OBC is credited to it and, charges are drawn from it. The only exception is if the individuals have their own accounts, and thus spending would be drawn from whomever charges the purchase.
