  1. Try the Regent Seven Seas Regent Suite at $11,000 per night based on double occupancy. At 4,443 square-feet, it's one of the most expensive staterooms that exist.
  2. I read it the same as you -- glad it was not another Titanic or Poseidon -- LOL
  3. From the posts on this thread, you'd think some have already been mixing several Margaritas, Palomas and Mamacitas in honor of Tequila Day.
  4. As long as the shorts don't look like this and you're not wearing a see-through tank top, you'll be fine.
  5. Not sure which area you're from but here almost all drugstores and urgent care places have the rapid tests (a few hours).
  6. That is very noble indeed, however I'd rather donate the entire cost of the drink instead of drinking it to the Crew Welfare Fund. Snark pipe smoking allowed at the BB?
  7. I did not cherish every meowment. Oasis without Cats would not turn into a cat-astrophe. Seriously speaking, a very long musical with a very loosely and haphazardly constructed plot which centers around which cat will be chosen to come back to a new life told in nonsensical, sung poems. YMMV
  8. The Queen Mary (now a hotel in Long Beach) wins the prize for being the ship with the most ghost sightings. It was used during WW2 to transport soldiers and participated in the DDay invasion. There is a famous door #13 in the engine room that crushed to death a worker. His ghost supposedly appears regularly.
  9. These bots are also waaay more expensive than any employee and all the human bartenders put together (even the captain and whole crew) since it cost almost 1 billion to build and replacement parts aren't cheap either. The bots don't earn their keep and serve spilled drinks in a plastic cup. No olives for martinis either. 😱
  10. The only good thing about it is you won't get drunk there. The alcohol content is nearly non-existent. Yes, bionic families need to survive like the rest of us -- but the breadwinner needs to find another occupation, IMO.
  11. Bear in mind that water bottles as carry-on are no longer delivered to the room. If you board and your cabin is not ready, you will have to schlep them around everywhere you go. Another option is to buy water through the cruise planner when it goes on sale -- typically $11.99 for a 12 pack. Non sale is around $16.99 for same. Not a whole lot for the convenience. My last two cruises I had the water in my stateroom upon arrival. I'm willing to pay extra for the convenience. YMMV
  12. Yes 18% gratuity added to a drink that almost always is not a full glass due to robot spillage. You are forced to give a tip to a clumsy robot, i.e. a fancy vending machine that breaks down often. Forget about asking for ice later if you forgot to ask for it in when first ordered. A Royal Rip-Off -- I would much rather have something else in that space like Celebrity's Martini Bar.
  13. Air to Sea with Royal has had the least costly flights for me. It's worth checking it out for comparison's sake.
  14. On short Caribbean cruises they call it "Dress Your Best" or "Wear Your Best" or "Casual Chic" instead of Formal Night. That means a step up from your typical tropical dinner wear. They mean collared shirts, dresses, skirts, blouses and pantsuits. You will see jackets, tuxedos/formal wear, sports coats, blazers and long evening gowns on longer cruises and more so on longer European and Asian cruises. However, as some have posted, you'll see everything including jeans (without holes and tears) and flip flops and unless more than 75% of your body is not covered where it should be, you will not be turned away (i.e. thong bikinis, tank tops, hot pants, etc). Happy Cruising!
  15. Sorry folks -- you could have made this concoction at home but the "official" Velveeta "Veltini" martini kit for $49.95 is SOLD OUT. OFFICIAL VELTINI KIT
  16. Definitely do not even try to eat it dry - you don't want to go there! Lots of Au Jus and Horseradish help!
  17. Really you think so? Think he was being sarcastic like he always is or genuine? I vote for your assessment.
  18. Yes do try it and please report back on how you lost a tooth or teeth.
  19. No -- no inexpensive way -- just grin and bear it like the rest of us had to do!
  20. Thin sliced roast beef? Not RCI's Kummelweck sandwich. It's one slab of uneatable meat on a bun - last I tasted it. YMMV
  21. Great to know but the one on RCI is not the authentic one. Hey, and what about those Buffalo Wings?
  22. Definitely try it - my money is on you won't like it - or maybe you'll love it. Don't know what all the hype is all about this unbreakable meat on a bun.
  23. I tried it once - never again! Lots of unbreakable meat on a bun. Not even tasty. YMMV
