  1. I have other information. Also even cargo handlers have are paid based on education (in some reason).
  2. No. Amount is fine... I am talking about tipping.
  3. Why? They are paid very low and this is a good source of income.
  4. Yes, my husband is on this mission... we lately have 8-10 cruises booked. )))
  5. There are several staterooms on 13th deck that are considered to be obstructed view due to overhang. . We booked originally at 6th deck obstructed view (it was cheaper or same price as inside) then we saw that obstructed view cabin became available on 13th deck and asked agency to move us which they did.
  6. Thank you. Disney is a very special line.. I never sailed with them. Sailed with RCI (28) - Celebrity (7) - Princess (7) - NCL (9) - Holland (2) - Carnival (2) - MSC (2) - Cunard (1) . All, but 2 had some forms of MTD (Anytime, Freestyle, Your Time Dining, Select etc) . NCL did not have traditional.
  7. Princess just like RCI has both. Assigned and Anytime dining since we started sailing with them in 2006. Every line except for Cunard (regular accommodations) and MSC (maybe they also have it now) have both. NCL does not have assigned dining. Only Freestyle.
  8. "New Program" My Time dining exists since 2000-x (2007 or earlier). You can arrive at any time or make reservation. Nothing different than Freestyle with NCL or similar on all other lines.
  9. Yes, Starlink. My experience on Anthem in January was so-so (dropped connections), but since then Enchantment and on Liberty twice it was very good. There is only one tier. Surf and stream.
  10. Just booked this cabin and happy to see how great balcony looks. We moved from 6th deck where cabins were really obstructed.
  11. I am not sure it is that popular. Even we who love them on Anthem did not book them for several upcoming cruises on Odyssey. Most people who cruise in insides do not spend much time in their rooms. While it is a nice feature - we use it more than real balconies when we have them - I am not sure it adds enough to pay for it.
  12. Almost all insides on Anthem have virtual balconies
  13. Great concept! Love it on Anthem.. had multiple times and use them more than real ones. Unfortunately even on Odyssey (Quantum +) has only minimum VBs.
  14. Great review!!! I agree about different Fun. I was actually evaluating this moniker Fun Ship on our first Carnival ship. By that time we sailed with Royal once, Celerity 2 times and Holland. I am not a snob by any means, and there was a Fun.. but at times very weird. Like Gross foods context (who barfs the latest) or Hairy chest context (all lines have some sort of Hairy context... but older blindfolded lady feeling chests of men sitting on her lap?!). It was brand new Carnival Liberty in 2005... but back then Carnival did not have large kids/teens areas away from pool areas, so most kids were watching this Fun too. I felt awkward!
  15. In app they aren’t just in order you can “reserve” them and get notification prior
  16. Keeping fingers crossed. We are not as port oriented as once were, but still want to see this new port.
  17. Still a change from DR. (We are still hoping this will not happen to our crusie)
  18. I am talking about change that happened to one or several January 2024 cruises. Our January 7th cruise is still (for now going to DR), but other either dropped this port or go to San Juan. I am aware about Anthem in San Juan in 2023. I was on January 2 cruise. " Received an email on Thursday that my Jan. 18, 2024 cruise has to drop Puerto Plata and instead replaced it with an evening stop in San Juan(4pm-11pm). Disappointing to have a new port canceled, but it is what is it. However, the next cruise on Jan. 29 dropped Puerto Plata as well but didn't replace it with another port. Additionally, the prior cruise(Jan 7) has kept Puerto Plata and their itinerary remains unchanged. I had assumed PP was dropped as RCCL didn't think the ship could arrive on time as its the first port, but since the previous cruise has kept it, it's a bit odd for the cancellation of Puerto Plata on two of the itineraries, but not all three. Thinking of changing to the Jan 7 cruise just to go to Puerto Plata, but I wonder if RCCL will eventually remove it from that itinerary, too? Dear Guest, To maintain a safe and comfortable speed along our journey, we’ll now visit San Juan, Puerto Rico instead of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Additionally, we’ve adjusted our arrival and departure times for Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, and Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis. While we’ll lose a little time in Basseterre, we’ve added an extra two hours in Charlotte Amalie so you can explore everything this beautiful destination has to offer. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by this. Nevertheless, we’re excited to sail away with you! Below, please find our revised Anthem of the Seas January 18th, 2024 itinerary."
  19. You can also consider ships going to St Kitts or Roatan. There are more monkeys there.
  20. Our Jan 7th sailing is not affected for now. For next several sailings RCI removed DR or substituted with SJ.
  21. I can imagine!!! City looks depressing… Except that Violin… I’m happy we rented a car ant went all the way to Cabot trail! Now Halifax is a beautiful city to visit. Especially now after boardwalk reconstruction
  22. Nothing town?! Just because you are not familiar with St John doesn’t make it nothing town. We cruised there at least 4 times and always found amazing places to go. Just a few - Hopewell Rocks tidal park https://www.nbparks.ca/en/parks/33/hopewell-rocks-provincial-park - Fundy Trail Parkway https://fundytrailparkway.com/ - St Martins sea caves village There are more
