  1. He left. People voiced displeasure, but it was late. Everyone was shocked at first.
  2. Not really. Nothing is different from pre-Covid times (we sail 5 times throughout the year since 2016). This year there was more coughing in January (Anthem), but nothing really in March (Enchantment) or June (Oasis) . I do not think ships are much different than other places, it is just people do not test in regular time anymore. We had positive people after our latest cruise. Most of them only found out they were positive after they tested at home (no symptoms). Others had light symptoms.
  3. Covid is much more spreadable, but much less dangerous now. 0 Covid will not happen. I think there are many more than just several cases on cruises, just people are not paying attention anymore. Deep down I wish this was a reaction from the beginning. I am originally from another country and they were behaving like this... and nothing extraordinary happened.
  4. I agree! Such a minor inconveniences comparing to no cruising due to Covid. We even flew twice to A/I in Mexico which we have not done since 2002! And bought RV van to keep our minds off of missing cruises (sold it when cruises started 🙂 )
  5. Actually I witnessed some weird scene. I was riding elevator on Oasis several weeks ago. Now people rarely adhere to Covid rules about 4-6 people in elevator (rules are not even posted I think). So there was one lady who did not like that someone who was #9 entered elevator. She started screaming at him demanding to leave... But that was only one nuisance out of 7 days cruise.
  6. In some reason all our cruises in the beginning of September featured the best weather... In Caribbeans, to Bermuda ... Literally , not even occasional rain. 🙂 Of course you cannot bet on it, but then we had horrendous weather in May several times, in June too.
  7. Of course I won't. I am there to relax, not watch what other people do. If they cough on me I will respond for sure. 😆
  8. I have seen people coughing and nobody was reporting them. Only people who visit medical office with complaints and test positive get quarantined.
  9. On our March cruise masks were not mandatory anymore. On June's buffets became self served. (this one I think could leave as is actually)
  10. Really? We cruised 7 times since the restart and never worried about this. It is not like there was any mass tests. We were slightly worried on B2B during this winter when we needed to test.
  11. If it is not your working day. 😉 I have some from time to time.
  12. Suite or not, Oasis class is such a unique experience... not comparable to any ships, especially NCL Breakaway class.
  13. We sailed on Oasis May 29th. Initial capacity was projected 90%. Even with people cancelled due to failed Covid test there was 5800+ people.
  14. I think we need to do like China!!! With 0 Covid. LOL. Seriously, I have been on 7 cruises since restart. Got sick on cruise with the most restrictions. People get infected even with total testing. Some report, some do not. Same like with a Flu, Noro etc. I like how people now wash their hands because of Covid. At least noro isn't a thing anymore. 🙂 Unfortunately pharmacies are dropping COVID testing (and even last year scheduled tests were cancelled left and right), so we have to remember to order home tests every time, and hope that fluid is there. And that connections won't fail.
  15. Sorry, you will get there. I was a victim of switching from number of cruises to points per night. Royal switched in 2011 to points. All cruises under 12 days were converted to 1 credit - 7 points. I had several 9 - 10 dayers and they became 7 dayers. I would have become Diamond after 10 cruises accordingly to old system, but had to wait for our 12th cruise as my points were not enough after 10 cruises. Enjoy your cruise!
  16. Impossible to say. They all have pros & cons 1) Oasis class is just amazing overall … like a thrill park. 2) Quantum class has the best Solarium and overall setup for cold weather cruises. Two70 is a great venu 4) Vision class is designed so nicely you can hear music in Centrum when you leave pool area or your cabin. So much live entertainment so close (on Enchantment they even added Boleros), very comfortable Theater And everything in between. We love ships with Viking Crown lounge (everything up to Freedom class), they are great for sailaways from ports.
  17. Yes. You are right. Not overwhelmed. Nobody is stressing even in our Massachusetts which was pretty strict about all measures.
  18. We cruised 1 time with Celebrity and 5 times with RCI after restart. One of those times we got Covid. It was not pleasant, but not worse than a flu which we got twice out of 52 cruises. I think at this time when shots and boosters are available we need to stop worrying sick about Covid and live our lives. Thankfully it seems that governments, companies, cruiselines have the same ideas now. Hospitals are now overwhelmed, death numbers are low.
  19. Seriously? We had it several times and I believe we had to use different logins. I could be wrong though.
  20. No issues at all. It is just two independent logins. It is the same as you are buying a pair of shoes and the second comes at discount.
  21. Last September there was no problems at all, but only 2100 pax sailed. On Anthem for Christmas and New Year there were longer lines.
  22. For us it is always 4-5 day of 7-8 days cruise (out of Bayonne, NJ) so it does not matter, but I generally prefer to have #2 day of cruise to be a sea day. It is relaxing... I love to have slow breakfast. We always disembark at the end of our cruise with our own luggage, so packing can happen any time. Even on the last morning sometimes.
  23. About to get my block #2 on Oasis. First was on Anthem in November. 🙂
