  1. People forget how bad 2020 was... and sweat small stuff again. Same problems are everywhere.. in A/I, US based hotels etc. But stays are much more expensive.
  2. Sad. I had them every night on 7 cruises (RCI and Celebrity) since restart. Oasis X 2, Anthem x 3 and Enchantment. Interesting that on RCI quality is better! The only item that RCI has discontinued on our watch was Beef Wellington lately. We caught it in buffet on Oasis once in June though.
  3. DL is not full lately as there are no unlimited drinks there.
  4. We do not use UDP, but find quality of MDR to be very good. In fact ... it is better than when we started cruising with Royal in 2004. And I LOVE escargot available every day. 🙂
  5. Yes, I think some ships had some drinks not available or short, but nothing major.
  6. What was disappointing about Summit? We had terrific cruise on Celebrity Edge and 6 with RCI ships. Maybe small issues, but nothing much,
  7. Adventure , Voyager , Navigator are sisters. Liberty is a larger "sister" . 🙂
  8. Maybe we are biased as we are addicted to cruising with now 53 cruises. We could not wait for cruises to restart so we went to A/I in Mexico. It was one of the best resorts during COVID and overall good quality chain. Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Resort For a very cheap price. $1800 for 7 days during Thanksgiving 2020 and $2200 for 9 days in March 2021 with flights . We liked it (we did not like A/I when we tried 20 years ago). It was really nice, but entertainment was not as good, and it was the same place for all days. That is why in 2003 we switched to cruising! These were COVID times and prices where really down. Now it is much much much higher! Our domestic resorts of similar quality cost arm and leg! Since restart we cruised 7 times Celebrity Edge Anthem of the Seas (3 times) Oasis of the Seas (2 times) Enchantment of the Seas I honestly have not seen much of downgrade. Maybe small things here and there, but same goes for resorts after COVID, Also for cruises we do not need to fly... and prices of flights have risen dramatically. We will be on Adventure soon for 9 day cruise to Canada. So maybe my opinion will change. I will try to post updated here.
  9. It is 1996 vs 2001. So it depends on when it was serviced. I did not notice rust or anything. It also was lengthened and more clubs etc added.
  10. Cabins are on a smaller side. We had inside room with a chair instead of sofa. We do not spend much time in our room even if it is a balcony, so it was not an issue for us. There is no fridge. Space for clothing are adequate (our cruise was 12 days to Southern Caribbeans). Solarium is covered. It is just smaller and not as decorated https://www.tripadvisor.ca/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g1-d15691459-i373548734-Enchantment_of_the_Seas-World.html Ship does not have side elevators with a view, but Centrum elevators allow you to see windows. Ship is in very good condition. It is also interesting to navigate. You will see from my videos that all walls in Centrum on every floor are covered with paintings. Reminds me of a museum. 🙂
  11. We drove there to the beginning of it as it is pretty far. Even drive there from Sydney is beautiful. But it is a long way from there so we only touched a little bit.
  12. We rented a car and went to Hopewell Rocks in 2013. Loved it. We stopped at St Martins on the way there. Red Sea Caves. I loved it so much that this September also on Adventure I booked a tour to the rocks. I booked at discount at $110. If not there I would look at https://fundytrailparkway.com/ Beautiful vistas and views. It is closer. Not far from St Martins red caves.
  13. We sailed on both. Enchantment is enlarged Vision class ship. It is smaller ship, but it has all components of Brilliance. Some time ago they even added Bolleros club (Latin music). Solarium is smaller and not as pretty. There is no minigolf. We sail on large Oasis and Anthem ships all the time, but we enjoyed Enchantment tremendously in March (and booked again)
  14. Princess and Celebrity were our #1 lines till ... 2019. We had Christmas on Explorer of the Seas and New Year on Crown Princess. We expected Explorer to be whatever it would be, but Princess to be a highlight. Well.. we were so disappointed. Ship was in bad shape. Paint was peeling in lifts, there was strange smell, food was also not Princess usual food. Before that we had excellent experiences! Especially on Royal Princess. So I would probably pick newer ships. We had excellent experiences on Celebrity Summit and Edge recently after revolutionnary updates.
  15. I found my old recordings . well quality isn’t good On Divina we had opera with Ukrainian opera singers Iryna Zima and Nazar
  16. We sailed on both and liked experience. Even though Divina was more modern Poesia was more authentic Italian. We had real Italian tenor, real Sicilian guitar duo etc. Loved design and decor of both! Loved shows in theater. Every day production show. We found food to be on a weaker side. Especially meat dishes. I am ok with non meat, but husband tried several times to cut it with little success.
  17. Last year on several sailings last lunch featured more seafood dishes. I think they discontinued it by Christmas. I do not remember ever RCI's seafood buffets like Princess had, which are also discontinued. They literally had Alaskan Crab legs split in halves, lobsters and everything else. But as a seafood lover I am always able to pick several seafood appetizers. Sometimes I skip main dish (and always dessert), but I always eat them.
  18. There should be something in Nassau, right?
  19. Tulum and beach We also like renting a car and driving around the island stopping in beach area, they Punta Sur and continuing on “wild” side. There are also small Mayan ruins in Cozumel
  20. I thought I would miss regular system, but I like new one too. It is much more convenient to have 5 (now) drinks throughout the day in any places. We usually have 1 or 2 in DL, especially if it is next to Crown Viking lounge.
  21. My husband just checks stocks and corrects. I’m in IT so I sometimes work even from solariums (especially on Anthem). If I need to have longer meetings I prefer to be in quiet space so it’s my state room. Mostly inside of stateroom. Sunlight and quietness are enough. VPN makes my connections slower so I always take surf & stream. In most cases connections are adequate for what I do. Lately with increased PTO I have enough days for 5 cruises with 6 to 14 days, but used to work 1-3 days on Thanksgiving cruises and maybe couple on Christmas/New Year. We have to take all cruises which involve holidays to maximize.
  22. We often visit Portland area, but never visited lighthouses, so we are taking this tour Lighthouses of Maine Highlights Bug Light: Nicknamed for its small size, elegant Portland Breakwater Light was first lit in 1875. Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse: View a typical sparkplug-style lighthouse constructed of brick on a cylindrical cast-iron caisson, dating from 1891. Portland Head Light: Explore Fort Williams and visit the impressive museum located in the former lighthouse keeper's quarters.
  23. We always sail during Thanksgiving. Since 2017 on Anthem. Full sailings. I love Thanksgiving though. With so many large families sailing many with kids, indoor pool is full, but Solarium is less fool than during off-season when mostly couples sail.
