  1. Cozumel is the same time as Eastern Standard Time. Unless you sail after DST, they're the same as ship time.
  2. Concierge gets you lunch in the MDR ONLY on embarkation day. That seems like it would be a very expensive lunch. Beyond that, it's not very special. Afternoon canapes, a bottle of 'champagne', and extra captain club points.
  3. Or the proper canopy on the non-revolutionized M-class ships.
  4. Over Xmas and NYE, you were sailing before the drastic cuts were made. They took effect with the first sailing that embarked in 2023 according to all reports
  5. 75%?? from all reports, pics, and videos, it looks more like 25% at best
  6. That's one of the (many) reasons we dislike the Edge class. 4 nondescript, nothing-special restaurants instead of the more grand dining room. We were equally unimpressed with the dining rooms on the Regal, which is standard across that class as I understand.
  7. There will be a rectangle in the ceiling panel where the bed is stowed away. It will only be annoying if the inconsistent ceiling panel pattern is bothersome.
  8. Certainly not at dinner any longer as the grille station is closed in the evening.
  9. Or dine at the Sunset Bar. Quiet time back there at dinner, and the bartenders are right there.
  10. Wow. What an unexpected blast from the past with this thread popping back up given the current status of the buffet.
  11. Of those, the German Military Occupation one makes me most want to be back on Guernsey 🙂 It takes you from town to the other side of the island, which is a nice look at things. The La Vallette Museum is a good look at Guernsey during the Occupation. Pleinmont Point offers one of the most beautiful vantage points of the southern cliffs, and has some German emplacements/towers you may not see otherwise. Ft Hommet is your stop along the west coast, which is an interesting blend of fortifications (my avatar is sunset at Ft Hommet). It's not quite a round-island tour, but it's a nice start. This is where it stops on a map: https://goo.gl/maps/CJkhyy3GtTJ4JUcb6
  12. What are the other options? A portion of this walk could be done on your own before/after a different excursion.
  13. I had plenty of Talisker last month on Regal. Along with Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie, Glenkinchie.... by the end of the cruise, the bartender was bringing different bottles of scotch up for me. 🙂
  14. The trick is how you balance that with the "You probably won't starve" tagline in order to really sell it. Maybe that's why I didn't 4.0 that marketing class I took.
  15. Rarely have I gotten a burger on a ship, but those times when I went to the mast grille, I received a hot, fresh, juicy burger right off the grille. And with fries fresh from the fryer, I had no complaints. Much better than I expected, honestly. Have they changed? and how?
  16. Hopefully the stairs will be fixed by then. It is a very nice walk. It's also very doable without a paid excursion if you're up to going alone and skipping the guide's narrative. If you start out fresh from the tender, you'll have plenty of time to look about town afterwards as well.
  17. No no. Carry-on is a higher fee than checked, maximum bag size applies of course. (ref:spirit airlines)
  18. I have yet to read a thread where port fees were voluntarily returned to customers.
  19. Did she really say that? That's hilarious (if sad and pathetic at the same time)! Maybe I should have actually watched instead of sticking it in the background with the volume off.
  20. Is that even still a thing?
  21. That walk is the opposite of what I mentioned up in post 66. Great walk along the cliff path. When are you travelling? As Guernseycruiser mentioned above, there was a landslide at the steps leading to (or down from in your case) Clarence Battery. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-guernsey-64051317 That story says they hope to have them reopened sometime in 2023. That's Clarence battery up top in that photo. With the steps closed, there is no way down from there, so your walk would be almost impossible to do (unless you backtracked to the green circle in the snip below) If the stairs are open, it's a wonderful walk with fantastic scenery. We generally start in town and plan the walk to we arrive at the Fermain Beach cafe in time for a pint and some lunch 🙂 This pic shows the pier area in pink, the approximate path from Pepper Pot to Clarence Battery in yellow. Fermain beach cafe that I mentioned is down on the beach below where your starting point would be (thus the name 🤪).
