  1. On the 63 night first quarter WC we did...we liked our wait team so much, which indeed got moved around with each of the "mini segments"...that we begged the dining room host to move us also to follow them. 😉 Worked for us...and them! 😄
  2. Ahh...the good old days of elegant cruising. Sigh. IMHO...all gone now on RCI. 😞
  3. "Sea" you on board next month. 🙂 We are back for the last quarter, and continue to the end at Miami where we started the first quarter.
  4. Their nefarious plan worked on me! 😉 Instead of booking my next cruise with another line...which I would have again...I am booking the next one with Celeb, and looking at Silverseas. 😄
  5. LOL...yes...there was such a thing. Remember the special breakfast they did for D+ with officers? This of course was before the Pinnacle and Emerald levels were added.
  6. Yes...again...yes...again yes I know, I read that post. But was it the "carry the plate you filled up at the WJ" like we did on Freedom to eat in there...or the order from the Chops crew members...like it is now for Pinnacles and suites? Otherwise...bottom line last few years...and current. No...D+ does not have access to Chops for breakfast...unless in a full suite.
  7. On Freedom, I remember being able to bring my WJ plate into Chops to eat breakfast in there as D+. But there was no sit down and order full breakfast from Chop's staff in there...if that is what you were talking about?
  8. A letter from the LA in your cabin with your loyalty perks pertaining to your level is nice to have on boarding.
  9. We have gone all the way over. Virgin is nice, but the ships are still too big for us. More of a young adult/party feel to me IMHO. (Think Hideaway Beach at Coco Cay). Our fav in that direction of more laid back, no party, no running free feral children...Viking.
  10. Sign for what? Don't understand which ship...what time frame. Current or past.
  11. Not just on boarding, but the bartenders will look at the picture that comes up when you order a drink. Just one more way to keep others from sharing drink packages and the under 21 set.
  12. That has not happened in a long...long time, that I know of. On World Cruise, Pinnies not in a suite were not invited into Chops for breakfast. It was pretty dead in there each morning. Was a nice perk for us in a GS though, with fast service as to being only a few couples in there. 🙂
  13. Ah...thanks....so obviously not all U.S. ports. 😉
  14. Thank you all for taking us along on your wonderful adventure! 🙂
  15. How are they avoiding the PVSA rule?
  16. Have you taken your kids for a ride on the rising tide bar?
  17. One of the reasons I dislike the 6/8 B2Bs. We are still on for the two weeks, but the ship gets to be cheap on the six night leg. 😣
  18. Try not to "read a book by it's cover". Actual experience is worth much more. How do you know for sure you will have a difficult time? We did our first Viking cruise, and did not even think about it when I booked our excursions. Most were "included" and some were extra pay. Not once did I find a sold out excursion, and I did not book at first opportunity...but had waited awhile, finally booking once I thought about it. The whole Viking Experience was one we loved so much, we now have another 5 booked and searching for more to add to the line up. My glass was "half full"....now it is all the way up there. 😉
  19. Was interesting to see the rising tide bar so sparse of seats the last few times, and those seats did not look comfortable. Used to have much more available...and indeed...no place to sit "at the bar". Was not a draw for us any longer as it lost that cozy feeling. I would think it would be totally boring for kids.
