  1. Yes, you can purchase Royals insurance up to the final paymemt date.
  2. You are the only one that can tell that by carefully reading your policy. Some cards are better than others and all can have very different terms in what they will cover. Just as an example, for some cards you must pay the entire amount on the one card, on others it's just a portion.
  3. One of these situations that doesn't come up often and some low level managers not sure how to deal with it. Nice to see that it worked out. (other than not being able to cruise)
  4. That I will have to try. It's been a long time since we've been. Might work out on our trip south at Christmas. We should be passing through Erie PA about 8pm so that would work for a late dinner
  5. Now try and imagine the sound of Merlin chewing them as he cleared a path for you to walk.....dogs are disgusting but we still love them.
  6. We've talked about Primanti Brothers before but just getting caught up on the thread and scrolling through I didn't even have to read your cation above the photo to know exactly where you had eaten.
  7. That is what I have been telling you. They have included it as a prix fixe menu. you get to pick one small plate, 2 large plates and a dessert for one set price (large plate portions are huge, we only ever order one large). It is one price. No different than going to Chops and ordering an app, main and dessert
  8. Good luck with getting someone on Oasis unless you know someone who is cruising. Calling Royal certainly won't get you that. Their call centre sucks. They are reading from the same old, outdated, some updated information on the website that you are.
  9. There was only ever the one a la carte restaurant that was $35 and that was Izumi. They have not reduced its value as it is included as any other restaurant
  10. He just confirmed what we have known for over a month. 7 day Caribbean deployment being released in Sept as on the deployment schedule could only mean one ship.
  11. It has always been a $20 credit at venues like Playmakers. It is still $35 (or now the prix-fixe menu) at Izumi
  12. You still have to wait until you board to make the actual reservation but you will have a reserved seating section
  13. Actually the way Royal calculates the tour conductor credit changed back in 2018 or 2019. It is now calculated on the average cruise fare of all cabins in the group. Also, it is only calculated on the cruise fare and does not include port fees and taxes and what Royal also call the NCCF which is the non commissionable cruise fare that can range from $20 to $35 per person per day. That 7 day cruise on a new ship in an inside cabin that costs $2100 has taxes of $300 and NCCF's of $450 so the net cruise fare is $1350 so if you booked 8 of these cabins you would get a credit of $625. A lot of people are surprised at how low the credit is.
  14. Solarium is free. Royal does a lousy job of going back and editing out incorrect information which leads to a lot of confusion
  15. I think I know what has happened. Izumi used to be a la carte. Everything was an individual price. They have now gone to a prix-fixe menu that consists of; Start off with one (1) small plate, like Miso Soup or Pork Gyoza Dumplings. Then, pick your choice of two (2) large plates from a selection of signature rolls, sushi & sashimi, flavorful bowls of ramen and more. Top it all off with one (1) delicious dessert That is why the $35 reference is no longer listed. Izumi is now no different that Chops or Jamie's as far as pricing
  16. I had a call last week. They wanted one of my clients rooms for someone doing a B4B. My client was in a 2D. They tried to tell me that giving them a 1D was an upgrade.. .nope. exact same cabin, same location just that the 1D has a sofabed and can sleep more than 2. We did move to another 2D two cabins away and got $100 obc.
  17. Did you scroll down far enough. This is from the UDP that is offered on my upcoming sailing and it clearly states Izumi is $35. What's Included Unlimited visits to speciality dining restaurants every night of your sailing and lunch on sea days. For restaurants with a la carte pricing, you’ll receive a $20 food credit. For ships with these venues, Teppanyaki/Izumi Hibachi is included, with a $10 surcharge, Chef's Table is included, with a $49.99 surcharge, and Dadong is included, with a $35 surcharge. These will be charged once onboard.
  18. You dont even need to do that. All you need is the reservation number the fcc was issued from and the agents at Royal can look it up. Most actually prefer accessing it through the reservation number as opposed to the fcc number anyway.
