  1. I've always paid at the port. never seen an option to prepay
  2. I only saw it mentioned that Ovations wasn't currently offering it, nothing about Quantum.
  3. You won't get anywhere with trying to get the extra refunded. I have had success in getting cabins changed again after Royals move so that my clients staterooms were close together as they originally booked.
  4. click on "search" before typing anything in. This will bring up filter options. Select "this forum only"
  5. They are now asking for proof before they will issue a refund or FCC. Too many dishonest people like you suggested taking advantage of their policy.
  6. Just my opinion but they should have either held off rushing to get all the ships back to service or sailing at close to full capacity so they could have the ships properly staffed so they wouldn't have to be cutting service.
  7. They were not on Symphony in the first 2 weeks of March and they would not even program old ones.
  8. A couple that come to mind are. Not having to call, wait on hold to have some undertrained employee screw it up. The second guest had an FCC applied that would be lost if they were removed.
  9. You are not following each countries guidelines. You are following Royal's policy and that is that a COR does not replace vaccination requirements. With a COR you can use that to not have a valid antigen test to board but you still need to meet the vaccination requirements that the cruise line has set
  10. Nope. the .001% is correct. They would not be repriced. Only if you change cabin categories would you be repriced.
  11. A certificate of recovery only exempts you from the pre boarding testing. It does not exempt you from any vaccination requirements
  12. You did not ask this but just as an FYI. If you are booking through a travel agent or if you call in to book you can book a cabin that would normally hold 2 guests and add your son to the room with a pack n play. Your son would pay the rate for 3rd and 4th guest which should be under Kids Sail Free so just paying the taxes. The advantage to doing the booking this way is that the rate for the first 2 guests in a double occupancy room will be less than the rate for the first two guests in a triple/quad occupancy room and if you are using a TA they may have group space available at an even cheaper rate for double occupancy cabins that you would qualify for.
  13. This is a recent addition. They never used to require this but there were too many people calling in saying that they or a family member tested positive just to get a cash refund as opposed to an FCC
  14. Group rates can absolutely be booked as a solo. The only time a dummy name is needed is when the initial reservation is created by a TA on line as cruising power will not create it for one. It is a simple phone call to have the rate adjusted and have the dummy name removed.
  15. While it is true that all cabins that sleep 4 will have the bed by the bath it is not true that all cabins for 2 will have the bed by the balcony. Cabins for 2 can have their beds by both the bath and balcony.
  16. I was on Symphony for 2 weeks in March and had them delivered to my stateroom every day
