  1. We very rarely book specialty restaurants and when we do it’s on board with a discount. We have a cruise in May for our 30th anniversary. Originally booked a SS, but can’t justify $14k for a ship that hasn’t been revolutionized, so we changed to Aqua (which was actually cheaper than a veranda). We decided to eat in specialty twice. I booked on line, made our reservation and paid. If it’s already paid for (gratuity was included) , I won’t be paying another 18% once there will I? Might sound like a stupid question, but as I said, we rarely eat in specialty restaurants, but decided to do 2 since we gave up our suite.
  2. I would’ve taken Aqua also. On one of our future cruises, Aqua was actually cheaper than a Veranda so we booked it. Thought we would give it a try for less $$. We are on Reflection so I understand we can order from the MDR menu, as there are items on that menu that we really like. I think we can also eat in the MDR if we choose……but please correct me if I’m wrong.
  3. We always make reservations because we like to eat around 7 and that’s a busy time. On most of our cruises we were automatically sat at a table for 2 and others we have been asked what we would like. We have never been told no or had to wait.
  4. I have never heard about not having an “absolute right” to a table for 2. We have either been asked the first night when we enter the dining room if we want a table for two or to sit with others. We have also not been asked and were given a table for two. We should absolutely have every right to sit alone at a table for two if we choose 🤷🏻‍♀️
  5. They have not. Only required maintenance, hull painting, and some touch ups being done.
  6. The helipad invitation isn’t guaranteed, but we have always been invited. No special boarding or even special boarding room
  7. It’s really tough to say. On our last cruise the starboard side faced the port most often. We were on the port side and looked at the open water on nearly every port.
  8. Yes. They were on Millennium in August. On premium package
  9. Yes!! My parents just asked my brother and sister in law, along with us, if we would do a cruise with them. Think it will be their last one. I was pushing for a TA from Europe, but they are insisting on a R/T Hawaii cruise. Doesn’t make sense to me because they have been there many times and have said in the past that they have zero interest in going there again. Unfortunately Celebrity doesn’t do this cruise. My parents are strictly Princess cruisers, my brother Carnival, and us, Celebrity. Carnival was mentioned and I’m SO glad they don’t do this particular cruise in the fall, so Princess it is. We have been on Princess before, but love Celebrity more, especially since I am gluten free and the menus specify gf items. The last thing I want to do after being stuffed from dinner is decide what I want to eat the following night. Who knows what they want to eat the next night? Also, the casino on Princess allows smoking. Not good. Sailing with my parents is #1 so I will have to get over it…..…but I sure wish Celebrity offered a R/T LA to Hawaii!
  10. Martinis are $13. Maybe you are seeing a price list from the Silhouette. It is in Europe and has the gratuity built in.
  11. If you have never stayed in one of these cabins you are in for quite a treat!!……if you have then you know what I mean 😂. Have a fabulous cruise!
  12. Should be end of this month or next month. Last year we booked for summer 2023 in October so it has to be coming up soon
  13. Thank you everyone! This has been VERY helpful
  14. Hello all! My parents are avid Princess cruisers, but don’t get a drink package and can’t find anything on the website. We strictly sail Celebrity and they want to take us on a Princess cruise so we are trying to find out some information. Looks like one has drink packages up to $12 and the other up to $18. Is there anywhere that actually shows the liquors offered with each? I enjoy champagne and my husband good bourbons. Also, if we have the regular package and buy a drink that is $15, do we pay the $3 difference or pay the whole amount? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Ah! Gotcha! Thought you meant positive to mean good. Nope, no positive results. They don’t wait the full 15 minutes. They only waited a minute or 2. If positive, it shows up almost immediately. Really no need to wait the 15 minutes
  16. Yes! We used them 3 times and no issues at all
  17. In December we booked a SS on Reflection for May 2023 for our 30th anniversary. Since it hasn’t been revolutionized and nothing planned in the near future, we changed to Aqua, which was actually cheaper than a veranda or concierge. I was shocked! With a SS pricing at $13k, I couldn’t justify that for a non revolutionized ship. Maybe one day!
  18. Maybe this month, but likely November at the latest
  19. It would make sense. The coffee drinks would be approximately $6 ea, soda is about $3/can and water about the same. All would also need the gratuity added. If you have the package then you can get what you would like that’s offered in the package and not have to worry about signing anything or worrying how much you spend.
  20. We booked a SS in December for a Med cruise next May. It was $13k. Thought that was very high for a ship that hasn’t been revolutionized. Decided that it wasn’t worth it so ended up changing it to Aqua because it was cheaper than a veranda! Both are higher now, especially the Aqua cabin, but the veranda is still a little more than we paid so we a sticking with Aqua……for now
  21. No ships will be revolutionized anytime soon. Reflection will undergo routine dry dock maintenance this month for 2 weeks before the TA. Nothing will be done in Feb. I’m pretty sure there is a charter the week of 2/12. We sail in March and I was looking at menus and noticed the charter. A complete revolution takes at least a month
