  1. One thing I'll recommend you do NOT do is take the Montjuic Cable Car. It is terribly time-consuming, expensive and not as interesting as one might imagine.
  2. Ha, that's funny. Much as I'm sure Princess would prefer you spend your cruise vacation budget with them, I think it's unlikely they'll make an effort to resolve individual problems in fear of a customer deciding to go elsewhere.
  3. Pretty much the same reason(s) people pre-pay gratuities; getting the transaction out of the road and all paid up and, possibly, avoiding a price increase prior to departure date.
  4. I believe a number of cruise lines alrea provide dedicated areas where those wishing to reserve a deck chair o lounger can pay fr the privilege. Permitting passengers to pay to occupy chairs and louners in the already crowded common areas sort of makes a mokery f the idea that hey're for the commoners, not for for those with the resources to reserve them and make hem unavailable. Personally, I don'tthink there is a practical solution to the chairhog problem.
  5. I'm kinda partial to Park Guell. Either way, best to pre-purchase skip-the-line tickets to save time on waitingto get in.
  6. An entire day (overnight) or just 8-10 hours or so?
  7. I am currently on the Sky Princess; today we went to Grand Turk (unfortunately, couldn't tie up due to weather) but did not adjust the ship's clock to local time. This was the first time on Princess that I experienced this. A notification was left in all the cabins advising passengers that this would be the case and judge themselves accordingly for getting back onboard for departure.
  8. That's correct. Your generalization based on your experience is totally wrong for the cruise I am currently enjoying.
  9. No. This is something you'll need to verify before leaving the ship. And, BTW, your departure time will be whatever the ship time is being kept. Don't set your watch to local time.
  10. When I paid in advance for the Sky cruise we are currently on and the Emerald cruise following I was charged at the 50% rate and that was the end of it. No 'corrections' through OBCs.
  11. I said it earlier... I am currently on the Sky Princess and it is chock-a-block full, mainly with younger (under 60) cruisers and families. So, generalized statements on demographics are not reliable; it is very much dependent on time of year, itinerary and length of cruise.
  12. Where did you go? Depending on the actual travel there may not be any choice but to have a passport book. For Americans, the discussion of cost and whether a passport book is necessary for cruising has to contextualized between closed-loop cruises and pretty much everything else.
  13. I don't believe the OP sees this as a flaw. He has already stated that he is not concerned about other people.
  14. Consult the deck plan to see where they are. Typically open about 0730; sorry, not sure of closing time, but not late in the evening. The 'traffic' ought not bother you. https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=SA
  15. Do you need to have purchased Princess Premier package to book this?
  16. If you hate something, why would you voluntarily do it?
  17. Not so bad. If I were to do the same thing at my local currency exchange (which is pretty good), the fee would be about 5%. I guess if I had a couple million SGD, I'd spend a little more time and effort but for small amounts it's hardly worth it.
  18. Princess can fill up the buses with people wishing to take an excursion who won't run the risk of missing the second one and then seeking a refund. They make money by having full buses of paying customers. Tough choices sometimes; you'll enjoy yourself!
  19. You wouldn't normally be told that by Celebrity as it is generally determined by the harbour master, not the cruise line. In any event, here isninfo...
