  1. Sounds like you got special refugee treatment even though you had left Canada.
  2. Maybe, but it's gonna be tough to get on a cruise out of Florida when you're on a flight to Toronto late Sunday afternoon.
  3. Maybe something to do with travel post-Thanksgiving in the US.
  4. Wonder what would happen if an unvaccinated guest fibbed and said yes and then got sick while onboard?
  5. Cost is substantially different on Dec 4..... it's almost like Westjet is aware that a bunch of people may want to be taking an airplane on that date!!
  6. BTW, you may want to consider taking the bus immediately to a hotel in Vancouver (or near the airport) so that you are pre-positioned to join the ship the next day without having to make a mad dash from Vic to Van.
  7. Check out the bus connections between Victoria and Vancouver. https://bcfconnector.com/
  8. No, you do not need a package to access all the omboard features you've identified.
  9. Not very closely, it's all linked to your passport. Why would you wonder about this... it's not like you're pressed for time to get to the airport?
  10. Don't forget to check the responses at the same thread you started here:
  11. Here is what NCL's alcohol policy says. Can I bring alcohol on board? All guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol on board our ships. Please note that with the exception of Wine and Champagne, all guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol on board our ships. If you purchase any alcohol at one of our ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, we will safely store your purchase(s) and either on the final night of the cruise or the morning of debarkation it will be available for pick up in a designated area.
  12. Another good source of information is: https://cruiseportwiki.com/
  13. It will be checked by a cruise line agent prior to boarding the ship and used in the maritime declaration of health submitted by the ship to Canadian authorities for clearance to enter Canada.
  14. See the portion on Pre-Embarkation COVID-19 Testing... https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/cruise
  15. Your final port? How does that work? Why would NCL test everybody onboard when the instruction(s) indicate a pre-embarkation test?
  16. I'm not sure that the testing requirement is for the Panama Canal transit itself. These full transits usually include a stop in Cartagena, Colombia to comply with the PVSA. There is a test requirement for Cartagena. See screen shot from NCL site.
  17. My recent (last two months) experiences connecting to Ottawa through Toronto and Montreal were just fine. In my opinion, connecting through either one of these airports for a domestic flight to Vancouver ought not pose any special problem(s) for you.
  18. We took a Princess cruise from Santiago, Chile to Rio over Xmas and NYE a few years ago and really enjoyed it. That cruise actually stopped at ports on Xmas day (Ushaie sp?) and Montevideo (NYE) so probably different than Caribbean. We are booked with Celebrity Equinox for this year in the Caribbean and lookjng forward to it. Probably mainly adutls beacuse of price and cruise length.
  19. Use Halifax Marine Terminal. One ArriveCAN experience will do you for this trip, enjoy yourself.
  20. You're only supposed to read as far as it takes to satisfy any pre-conceived mindset you have. After that, don't think too hard about things.
  21. You were outside Le Cochon Dingue (the Crazy Pig) restaurant in Quebec.... tres populaire!
