chocolate diamons

Hi,

I will be on the carnival vista and carnival fascination in February. Both are southern Caribbean cruises. Im looking to treat myself to a chocolate diamond ring or bracelet. :D Where is the best place to go?

I too wanted to refer you to the Carnival forum.

Not sure if you are wanting to purchase on the ship or in port, but Just be careful about where you buy anything valuable. If you get home and have it appraised and find out it’s not what you thought you were buying or if it breaks quickly, you can’t exactly go back to the jewelry store. These boards are littered with complaints about people making large purchases in the cruise ship shops where they feel they were mislead about the warranty or value.

Go shopping at home - get a good idea of what prices are for what you want - so you will have an idea of how good the "deals" are on the islands.

I would find a reputable jeweler at home

Many things in the Islands are not all they are cracked up to be

Agreed....don't buy "pricey" stuff away from home. Most require you have it checked yearly where you bought it....so do it someplace close to home.

There are few bargains anymore in the Caribbean.
