I was hopeing to get some advice on how to get from Heathrow Airport to Oceania’s terminal in Southampton? Does any know if Oceania offers a shuttle service? We are departing on August 9th, 2018 for a Baltic cruise. Any other advice from members who have experienced a Baltic cruise as far as recommendations on what to see and do would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

if you ae flying in the same day as the cruise I would arrange a private care service like Smiths

if you have more time you can catch the National Express bus to Southampton but would not do this route if arriving the same day

We used Smiths, although most recently it was to Greenwich, not Southampton. We were happy with the service, including the price. We once took the train to Southampton, although we had stayed in London overnight before that, so had plenty of time to get there.

We went from LHR to Southampton and their price was excellent as was their service. We were very pleased and will use them again in 2019 going the opposite way. They are based in Portsmouth which is close to Southampton which is why their price is better than the London-based operators.

It doesn't really appear that anyone so far has clearly mentioned the extreme cost of an Oceania transfer.

Most of us do our own with various car service options. MUCH cheaper and we've never had a problem, having used a few different companies.

Go to your Roll Call and see if you can find others who want to share the ride which will bring down the cost. Obviously, they'd have to be arriving around the same time as you.

We ourselves had transferred FROM Southampton to central London on a few occasions. We've never flown in and taken a transfer TO Southampton. We have transferred from the airport to Dover a number of times, however. It's the same story. Book a private service.

We had a bad experience with O transport last fall from LGW to Southampton. We will never know why a private car (apparently everyone else with O air on that trip got sent to LHR) was 2 hours late. Even though we were comped a breakfast and the alternative at the port was sitting in a cool damp open terminal for a few hours if you chose not to go sight seeing, it was our first and last O transfer. Go private or take the train as said above.
