Hi I will be cruising in September on Oasis of the Seas for my first ever cruise. Also will be my honeymoon so I guess I hope we enjoy it lol. I've always wanted to cruise so it should be a wonderful time. Anyway anything you can give me information wise to help or opinions on what to do where to stay as far as stateroom and what to bring would be amazing. Thank you guys so much.

Congratulations on your first cruise. Oasis is one of the most amazing cruise ships on Earth.

I highly recommend an oceanview balcony stateroom. Much of the ship is inward facing so it's nice to have that personal balcony to go see the ocean pass by. I found deck 8 to be great because of Central Park. When walking fore and aft, it's much nicer to walk through the park, especially at night, rather than the cabin hallways. Plus, Central Park is the location for several food venues and bars.

Reservations for the shows open about 90 days prior to sailing. It's not mandatory, but I do recommend making those reservations. The reservations system is what keeps crowds separated, making the ship not feel crowded.

On that note, do not miss the shows. Oasis Class entertainment is the best in the cruise industry.

Since Oasis of the Seas is a Royal Caribbean cruise line ship I suggest you read posts in that forum for info specific to that cruise line.

For "what to bring" you'd bring whatever you'd bring for a land vacation, plus maybe a few otc meds. I don't bring half the stuff some cruisers recommend.

Hi

Congratulations on your wedding.

Welcome to Cruise Critic

My suggestion would be to ask specific questions about any particular concerns you may have. A general question like tell me about anything or everything would get you a sampling of any number of things that aren't necessarily relevant to you. You would get more information just browsing the threads on this site.

As has been recommended checking out the RCCL threads will get you more information about Royal Caribbean and your ship specifically.

You will see there is a "search" function at the top of each thread page. You haven't mentioned if you have already booked, the tone of your post suggest you haven't as yet. It is generally better to ask questions about booking before you have committed yourself. Many people find themselves frustrated because of thing they didn't know.

Once you have booked, be sure to spend some time browsing and asking questions on the "Port of Call" threads. You will be able to get information specific to each island that you will be visiting that will save you time and money.

good luck

have a great cruise

Thank you. We haven't booked but this is 100 percent the cruise we are going on. I'll definitely check them out.
