TEGL Posted October 15, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2017 We will be sailing Liberty on 11/5 and curious about the entertainment. Can anyone give 2 cents on the good, the bad, and the ugly? Whats a must see? What would be worth skipping? As anyone done the Mystery Dinner, is it worth it?
Skippy Posted October 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2017 In the Air and the Ice Show are a must see. The other shows were okay.
Coralc Posted October 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2017 The Mystery Dinner is worth doing once (IMO). It is campy, and it is a fun evening with a nice meal and entertainment with unlimited wine or sparkling wine. Tablemates and friends get involved, and it is fun to speculate about the who dunnit. :D I wouldn't do it again, but we are that way about many cruise things, and do not repeat special activities. internetwhiz Posted October 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2017 In the Air, Encore Ice Show, and we love Saturday Night Fever. If Phil Anderson is playing in the Schooner bar, that's fun. Some of what's on the "don't miss" things largely depend on your taste in entertainment. You can also get a list of other performers specific to your week by emailing: web_reservations@rccl.com. Include your name, booking number, and sail date and ask for a list of entertainers.

Cel_cruise Posted October 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2017 We also enjoyed In the Air and the ice show. We were on a cruise near Easter so it was a packed ship - but we also had a fantastic time at the Belly Flop Contest and the Quest - but these things being very enjoyable are not JUST the cruise directors staff - the guest component is key. doublej Posted October 22, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 22, 2017 We just got off our 4th time on Liberty last week. We still go see the In the Air show, ice skating show, and Saturday Night Fever and enjoy them every time. With dinner at 6:30, we are able to see the later shows for the performances. (Keeps us out of the casino, too!) We don't mind that we've seen them before. The songs and music are good and the orchestra does a good job. Some of the shows have different performers from one cruise to the next. I think the Saturday Night Fever performers have changed recently, However, it's rated pg-13 in the Cruise Compass, and I did see folks leaving about half way through when some of the dialogue mentioned sensitive subjects, such as suicide and pregnancy. On the other hand, there were about 5 kids, maybe 7-10 years old, in front of us sitting with parents that enjoyed all the singing and dancing, especially the interactive parts. Get ther early as seats fill up quickly. The country band was so--so and might have been better if the cruise lady the night we stopped by wasn't trying to make all the dances into a contest. One night we listened to Motown Divas and enjoyed the songs. Guess you can tell, we're a bit "older." Activities around the pool are entertaining- Sexiest man, cannon ball contests, etc. Mojito classes, margaritas classes, martini classes are fun, too! Deck 4 is a great quiet place to sit, watch the ocean, and read a book! There's plenty of fun stuff so just relax and enjoy the week!
George C Posted October 22, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 22, 2017 Ice skating show is truly a must, we also liked Saturday night fever, mystery dinner as already said is very campy with lousy house wine, but good food, not sure if it is worth the cost, but fun
Paulette3028 Posted October 22, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 22, 2017 Why don't you try it all? If there's something you are not enjoying, you can get up and leave the venue. That is our philosophy. I am there to be entertained. Someone else's opinion may not be mine.

Rare cruiselvr04 Posted October 22, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 22, 2017 We have been on Liberty about 7 times and are back in 2 weeks. Ice show in the air and SNF we see every time. Still enjoy them. If you're unsure sit in the back to not disturb others if u want to leave. We usually go to most of the evening shows, other ent entertainers are hit or miss. We have done the mystery dinner once. Fun event once.
