Independence of seas refit question

Not a really important question but to to our daughter it is lol

Once she has had the refit will the independence of seas still have the self serve ive cream thing on deck or is this being removed in the refit

She is right now on her last cruise before dry dock. Next cruise is on May 15 out of Southampton. Is she getting her dry dock in Freeport or in the UK?

You are correct, sorry, didn't look close enough to see that the site I used says "sold out". for that cruise.

Very likely Freeport - RCI has a big financial interest in that dry dock and uses it for most of its ships.

My cousin is crew and is flying out from the UK to Freeport to join at the end of dry dock, to sail back to the UK (without guests) as her first cruise three days later... :confused:

SS United States was able to do a TA in 3 days.

No, they don't have room for the warp reactor, she will only have impulse.

They add another 200+ cabins with paddles on deck zero. Big upgrade!

If you access the ship's live webcam you can watch as they squeeze those staterooms onto deck 12 forward. At least I think that's what I'm looking at! You can also view time lapse for each day. The jogging track was torn up in no time flat.....

It's not quite a live video feed and nothing like the other ships' live cams. I don't remember anyone ever mentioning that before. It would be good to see it after the refurb also.

As they've completed addition of the deck above what used to be the open air jogging track the feed has now become very boring. Compressed gas cylinders and guys eating lunch. It was kind of interesting for a time before that....

Emphasis on the 'some'. We're doing Norway on Independence in late July. Let's say I'm not hopeful.

I thought the crazy golf course was being relocated to that area of the ship, surely even the most ardent naturalist would not sunbathe topless in a children's play area!:o
