Check your cruises for incorrect gratuity amounts

2 different RCI reps tried to overcharge me for prepaid gratuities. They tried to charge me $135.00 for a 3 night cruise for 2. When I tried to correct them and tell them it's $81.00 and not $135.00 they said "Well that's what our system says" I had to get resolutions involved both times.

This is a new one. Never ran into this type of overcharge. Recommend that you cancel the prepaid gratuities, and instead have the $13.50 per day per person charged to your sea pass account.

I would say a sign that they are planning on upping the gratuities, but that would be $22.50 a day and I can't imagine them increasing by that much.

The gratuities were coming up as a 5 night cruise instead of a 3 night.

It came up that way on 2 of my reservations.

Makes me wonder how many are charged the wrong amount and don't even know it.

What were the cruises? If it was on one of the 4 ships being redeployed (Majesty, Empress, Enchantment, Vision) I wonder if it was a glitch related to the redeployment

Now that the minibars are empty RCI must be looking to a way to replace those false charges.

They were previously Majesty switched to Enchantment.
