Joanie, I couldn't get in last night, but it worked fine today. Carolyn

Excellent news EM!! Someone else said they also had problems after RuthC and Pokeynose said they had none.... I am wondering if it could have been at a time that I was uploading to the server...

Now you can see why I have the back up site listed as well... Just in case this type of thing happens...Double the trouble and time, but well worth it to make sure the photos and all can be accessed at all times.:)

Joanie, just sent you a couple of emails that you may or may not wish to use. Will definitely take more pictures with this thread in mind on our next cruise. -Flindy

Got the emails Flindy, but meds are kicking in so I dare not touch them until tomorrow.

Thank you so much!!!

Has anyone stayed in the VQ (spa cabins) 10033, on the Eurodam, and if so what was it like, and do you have photos. Thank you..If this is not the right thread to post this could you please direct me to where you think I could find a photo of these cabins..

I have only cruised once before and that was with Carnival, as you can see I am booked again with carnival but am thinking of changing cruise lines and trying HAL...

It's not silly--it's something you want to know! The safe is built into the closet on one of the shelves. On some ships there is a code number to remember and on others you can use some type of old department store credit card or whatever you have with a magnetic strip. You can use a regular Visa or Mastercard, but it's nicer to use something else so you can lock those in the safe.

:confused:I see no mention of in-cabin safes - either on these boards, the HAL website or the brochures I have. I am

sure they exist -- where are they located ??

Here are direct links to some of the ships in stateroom safes (unfortunately, I do not yet have all the ships):

I am looking at the deck plans for the Neiuw Amsterdam, and am wondering what the balcony area would be in between cabins VD 4166 and VD 4168...would that be an outside stairwell, would the area between the two cabins be noisy do you think? Can't seem to picture it in my mind..

It looks like a stairwell between decks 4 and 1.

I looked at the deck plans for decks 1-5 and decks 1 and 3 have a single stairway while decks 2 and 4 both and have a single stairway shown, decks 2 and 4 both show as having double stairways. Deck 5 has none in the same location. My guess is that this is for access to the Manhattan Dining Room on Deck 3. And since it starts between 4166 and 4168 should not present to much noise for you. It also appears to give easy access to the Promenade deck. Since most people go out onto the Promenade deck from mid ship, this should not cause to much noise either, at least in my own opinion.:)

Thanks Joanie, I did look at that web site where you can drag one deck above the other and your right it is an entrance to the Promenade deck, and one flight down to the Restaurant...Just wondering if because there is no one directly connected to that balcony on one side if you would be better off, then being connected on both sides?

Might be a lot of traffic though..It is exactly like that on the Eurodam...how would I find someone on these boards who has stayed in cabin 4166 on the Eurodam? Start a thread..or here? Thanks Suzin

I'd ask on the Main boards for Experienced Eurodam Cruisers to respond. State what you know about it from the deck plans, etc., and then ask the question(s). Myself, I do not think it will be a high traffic area, but then again, I've never been on the Eurodam... YET:)

Thanks Joanie, I did manage to get the search working and found quite a few discussions on this very cabin..seems it does not get a lot of public foot traffic, in fact one couple called it their secret door..:) and people who have booked it recommend it...will have to ask HAL if it does in fact have a tub and shower..thanks..
