gracecarmo Posted October 18, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I did not like the new grid system. The old way was much better, and using the "highlighter" method was best for me. Easier to read, and plan for the events.
kicker Posted October 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Since 99% of us have no idea what you're talking about, could someone explain or post pics of the differences?

krca11 Posted October 18, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2010 The new grid format is awful. Sorry I don't have a sample; didn't keep any dailies from this cruise.
smilz Posted October 18, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Think free TV guide in sunday paper with the grid of programs. Didn't like it at all!!!!!! Just got off Soltice. :(
g8rfan94 Posted October 18, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Maybe if someone does, they can scan it in? I'll be on there in two weeks. I'd like to have an idea what to expect. Thanks in advance.
Tomato53 Posted October 18, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 18, 2010 We were on Solstice last month. I like the layout - it makes it easy to see the overlap of events. I thought it was a good enhancement.
Lsimon Posted October 18, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Here are a couple samples from Century last month. First file is from first day's program, second from a sea day er-grid.pdf er-grid2.pdf
WineDown17 Posted October 18, 2010 #11 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I think it is soooo much easier to follow now. Looks just like my calendar i use every day..... Larry to the rescue, yet again!
digital_curator Posted October 18, 2010 #12 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks Larry for posting! It will take some getting used to but I think ultimately, I will like it better since it is easier to see the whole day much more quickly. I also like that the activities are broken down by theme. LouisV Posted October 18, 2010 #17 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I like it too! It's easier to see the day's activities at a glance.
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted October 18, 2010 #18 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks, Larry! You're always a good source of information. The grid looks easy to read to me. I guess my question would be--is there more information elsewhere in the Daily if the meaning of the activity is not clear in the grid? We'll try to remember to share our experience with it after our Connie Sparklers cruise next month.
g8rfan94 Posted October 18, 2010 #19 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks, Larry. You're the Bomb!!! It looks very easy to read and follow. I have nothing to compare it to so I don't think I'll have a problem with it. As elbon already pointed out, it looks a lot like a tv guide, so the format is something I'm already used to following. cl.klink Posted October 18, 2010 #20 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I like the grid better because it's easier to see how long things are and what conflicts there might be. What's the complaint against this? - Joel
Compass Rose Monica Posted October 18, 2010 #21 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I like it!! Much easier to see what might overlap. One question - I know the samples are from a previous cruise, but I see on it, for example, "Beyond the Podium Lecture". does the Celebrity Today provide details on another page? lcmslady Posted October 18, 2010 #22 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks for posting the samples, Larry! Looking at it, I think I'll like it - much easier to figure out what's when!

What's the complaint against this?- Joel Hey Joe, It was not a complaint, it was my personal opinion. Asked for those of others and got it. I didn't see a problem with that. Is it OK to be curious?
