richsea Posted October 18, 2010 #26 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks for the copies, Larry. I kind of like it. At a glance, you can eliminate the types of things that you're not interested in & focus on the things that you are. I would think that it will be helpful on portdays, when you can just easily check the ti,e that you expect to return to the ship for events. koolforkatz Posted October 18, 2010 #29 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I like it - I think it's far less cluttered and you can zero right in on your particular interests.

Compass Rose Monica Posted October 18, 2010 #31 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Events like lectures, the shows, special events and parties are described on the first page or two of the daily program. Thanks Larry!
Maryscooking Posted October 18, 2010 #32 Share Posted October 18, 2010 I like it! So nice to just scan down the time column and see everything that is happening at a glance, and quickly look at the grid to see the open times.

szq5231 Posted October 18, 2010 #34 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Think it will make it easier to plan and like that it shows if specific events overlap. thanks for the examples!
joanne59 Posted October 18, 2010 #35 Share Posted October 18, 2010 We were also on the same ship with Larry & Susie and the Martini Gang...great folks to cruise with! The new format was easy to follow along....we found the further details spelled out in the other sections had sufficient information so that you could make an informed decision about how to plan our day. As usual...so much to do...so little time. If you added in all Elite passenger's schedule of events...the days were just never long enough. Happy cruising...Joanne
librarylady19 Posted October 19, 2010 #36 Share Posted October 19, 2010 I like the new format also. Now, if they would only post this on some flat panel TVs around the ship (like the online tv guide) so I wouldn't have to carry the paper daily around with me, that would be great. Toftwood Posted October 19, 2010 #37 Share Posted October 19, 2010 A vast improvment - charts and tables are so much easier to follow than tabular lists.

Infi Posted October 19, 2010 #39 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Thanks for sharing the new program format, Larry. I'm not sure if I like it, it'll take some getting used to. I'll be interested to see how it works in action on our cruise next month.
EatonDoolittle Posted October 19, 2010 #40 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Add me to the plus column. Looks great HAL changed from a "category" format to a schedual format - tho not this nicely done- a while back and the folks over there were devestated. The truth of today's society is that we stay so busy and are more are used to a schedual both at work and in our real lives, so it follows that we would want it even on vacation. I think many of us have changed from "let me find an enrichment class I like and go" to "OK, it,s 2 PM on a sea day, what are my options?" Other than a nap, of course
Momorider Posted October 19, 2010 #41 Share Posted October 19, 2010 Larry what can we say you always come through :D I think it is a change and that can be an issue for some but It looks like a change for the better to me. :)
cruzeluver Posted October 19, 2010 #42 Share Posted October 19, 2010 I love it! We are big on all of the culinary events and enrichment lectures, so having them grouped together will make it much easier to plan our days. Thanks so much for posting!! prairie girl Posted October 21, 2010 #44 Share Posted October 21, 2010 We enjoyed the new schedule format on our recent Equinox sailing. It was easy to see at a glance where conflicts would occur. The one item that we did notice as being "missing" was the contact information for the Port Agents. As we always take our daily when we go ashore, we noted that this information was not provided....... ever! We wondered why this information was no longer being printed on the 'Celebrity Today'. It is certainly useful to have should one need it.
RonJJ Posted October 21, 2010 #45 Share Posted October 21, 2010 The grid seems so much easier to read and find what interest you. You just look at the subject column and then the times. Way easier than the old way. IMHO:D
Rare Lois R Posted October 22, 2010 #46 Share Posted October 22, 2010 I had the new one on Solstice last month as well. It is definitely a change from the old dailies. It took me a bit to get to used to it but overall I thought it was pretty good. Changes....changes..sometimes it just takes time to adjust to a new format:)
wanderlust402 Posted January 1, 2011 #47 Share Posted January 1, 2011 We just sailed on Century, and they did not use this new grid format. Was this just a test that they have phased out or is the new grid format still in use on the S-Class ships?
JEDIKNIGHT Posted January 1, 2011 #48 Share Posted January 1, 2011 It's terrible. I wonder how many people said on their comment cards "We can't stand the dailies the way they are. Grid format, NOW please!"
satchiesmom Posted January 1, 2011 #49 Share Posted January 1, 2011 Thanks Larry. I think we'll really like the new format; much easier to see everything at a glance.
fleckle Posted January 1, 2011 #50 Share Posted January 1, 2011
We were on the Millie last month and got our first look at the new "grid" format for Celebrity's dialy program. Hated It!!!! ANyone else?
We like the new format. But the old format was never a problem for us either so the change was no big deal to us. We thought it was easy to find whatever we wanted either way so would be fine with either format.
