Filet of beef with peppercorn sauce, asperagus soup, Vidalia onion tart, garlic tiger shrimp, sugar free coconut cake and sugar free key lime pie. And the savory bites and sour dough breads...yum.

My favorite appetizer is, without question, the vidalia onion tart. It is the only thing throughout the week that I ask for two of. The pork medalions served on the same night are also great.

Onion Tart and Lamb Shank for me. Cruises are the only place I try escargot and RCI's has always been good.

Note to self... every day I must take a picture of the menu on the wall outside MDR. It would be so easy to do.

Any hope of the Grand Mariner Souffle coming back for dessert? I'd even take a completely baseless rumor at this point. Someone's 2nd cousin's mother-in-law used to know a cabin steward who thought that the Grand Mariner Souffle may be coming back?

Kim - I read recently that you can request (ahead of time) the souffle to celebrate a special occasion. We'll be celebrating my Dad's birthday one June 8 and I'm planning on asking. Hope this was accurate! :o

I'm looking to get an idea of whatthe food is like on RCCL nowadays. Anybody have a dining room favorite they dream about??

Don't think there is anything I would find myself dreaming about. While the food is good it is certainly not over the top. That being said I think they are doing a much better job with the prime rib than they have done in the past. The lamb is hit or miss. The chilled soups are good also.
