Congratulations Westerdam

It seems like Capt. van Zaane is fond of performing whistle salutes with pilot boats, other Carnival company ships, the Port Everglades condo buildings, etc. It can be lots of fun.

The most whistle blowing I have heard, however, was between the Oosterdam and the Amsterdam in Sitka, Alaska. By the end of the salute, the pressurized air canister on the Oosterdam seemed to be running on empty. The whistle sounded for so long it just couldn't perform any more.

I didn't hear the Westerdam today, so I have no idea if she suffered the same fate. (It anyone has a recording, it seems it would be a popular thing to post!)
