Celebrity Equinox or VIsion of the Seas? Help me decide

I would say try Celebrity, you will LOVE it and especially the Solstice class.

I would pick the Celebrity Equinox over the Vision of the Seas. The Celebrity Solstice class ships (including the Equinox) are much newer, larger and have a wider variety of facilities. The Solstice class ships have stunning interiors and excellent food and service. The Vision of the Seas is fine (I cruised on this ship back in 1998 when it was new), but I definitely would select the Celebrity Equinox.

I want to try a Solstice class ship, I would definitely try that over a much older Royal Caribbean ship.

For me, I would have to know the itinerary/number of nights before I could choose.

 

On the Vision you would be racking up a few more C&A points if that matters to you.

Having to just base the decision on which ship to choose, I would go for the Equinox. I haven´t tried Celebrity yet but would very much like to.

I vote for the Equinox. We absolutely loved our cruises on Solstice.

Going to talk to my TA this morning. Equinox has a better itinerary.

 

I just made Platnuim and have a nextcruise certificate. Hate to lose out on those discounts.

 

So we were looking at booking a balcony or JS.

I was on the Equinox last May. Wonderful cruise! Have sailed on the Vision many years ago. While it was a lovely ship and cruise, I do not know what the ship is like now. My vote is for the Equinox! Your Platinum status will transfer to celebrity, so you will get a few perks. Not sure what they are, though. Can't you use your next Cruise certificate on another RCCL cruise in the future?

Having been on both ship classes, I suggest the Equinox. The Solstice Class ships are beautiful. If the Equinox itinerary is equal or better, than it's a no-brainer. Go Equinox.

One more vote for Equinox. If the itinerary is about the same it is an easy choice. It is always good to try other cruise lines anyway. Go find out for yourself about X.

Definitely take the Equinox and if you can possibly swing it.....book Aqua Class.....worth every penny!
