HappyCampers3 Posted January 13, 2013 #527 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Do D1's (7090) have robes? And how about the hair dryer...in the bathroom or in the vanity drawer? Does it do a pretty decent dry job? Mindy

Does it do a pretty decent dry job? Mindy All cabins have a hair dryer in the desk. It works, but it's not super powerful. Robes are only given to certain level guests and then only if they have enough! When I was on Freedom, they had so many Diamonds sailing that they didn't have enough for the group below diamond who were entitled to them! Cheryl I'm entitled, but not 'diamond', so if I don't have, I won't be happy :( I'd like to pack accordingly. Not so sure I like this level crap...depending on 'who' or 'what' you are, you get to sit here, sunbathe there, eat here, you can rent on this beach, but don't worry, those 'beneath' you will be kept at a distance.....this is getting to be exhusting...who's who among the passengers. You're good, but not good enough for us yet.

Those of us on the 16th need you!!! Steve, what are you worried about. Remember, the cruise to nowhere was during hurricaine season, we are sailing in February. Hurricaine season does not begin until June. I think we are safe though I would like to see Capt. Gus again. I know, I know you were having a Raven's moment. Well that won't last long!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Radio, thank you so much for the live broadcast, it is really getting us psyched for our sailing on February 16th. Smitty

You're good, but not good enough for us yet. I agree -- enough is enough. I am diamond and am at one of the upper levels on other cruise lines as well. I was shocked when RC started with this robe business -- it just seems juvenile to me. Either have robes for guests or not. It must be exhausting trying to figure it all out! blaze601 Posted January 13, 2013 #533 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Was just wondering, I noticed in all your solarium pictures that the roof was closed. Do they open once you are in warm weather, or is it now shut all the time. Also thought I heard rumors that the solarium pool was heated. Your posts have made me even more excited to get back on the enchantment. First on her in 2006, and that is when my wife and I both came down with cruise fever. Will be nice to get back on the ship that started it all.

cruisin4thedeepblue Posted January 13, 2013 #537 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Hello everyone. . . Tonight was the 3rd Formal night for this cruise. . .Yes, I had Lobster, but the Prime rib seemed to be the 2nd most popular entrée this evening. The food in the dining room seemed very good to me, however about half of my party did not care for the new menus. I thought they provided variety, and good taste. . .There were a lot of selections, and the recommendations offered by waiter appeared to be spot on ! I also attended the Top Tier Event for D, D+ members. The Captain and staff were there to meet everyone. . . And to thank everyone for being so loyal to Royal Caribbean International. Captain Gus will be leaving after 3 more Cruises, but We are still not sure who his replacement will be. Here are a few random pics from today. . .Thanks for the nice comments ! Radio The Solarium today was filled with passengers relaxing, reading and sleeping. The Oasis Pool bar will be running Playoff Beer Specials for passengers. The Roots Vibrations Pool Band was very popular Looking down the Centrum from Deck 10 Casino Royale has earned the “Radio Unfriendly” award of the week. . . An unusual view of the stairwell on Deck 5 (FWD) . Radio, great pics! Thanks so much for everything. Can you tell me what the other dance bands were like. We ballroom dance. starlake Posted January 13, 2013 #538 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Any of you that need robes---if your sailing with me, you can have ours. I normally just have our room attendant take them back. I really don't like that type of robe. :) Radio, This is another fantastic report. I always enjoy sailing along with you.

I apologize....my post was not very nice. After thinking it through and feeling remorseful :) I think I'll just get over it, pack my lightweight robe and if we are fortunate enough to be provided with the 'robe perk', I'll ask our cabin attendant to give them to someone who might need them. Thinking further, they do take up a lot of space when not using them....and most likely two of our three would just get stuffed away to make room for our many other items :) After all, this thread is about Radio and the fantastic reports and photos he has provided us! Thanks so much, Radio, for getting me through my pain staking week of packing!
Rare Radio Posted January 13, 2013 Author #540 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Hello everyone. . .Welcome to Day 9 of “LIVE” from Enchantment of the Seas. The final day of the cruise always makes me a little sad. I’ve had a great time on this cruise, yet in about 24 hours I will be have to begin debarkation. However, I still have several things to do today. I was invited on a galley tour and I am very happy to be invited on a bridge tour later this afternoon. I would also like to attend the “Captain’s Corner” talk in the Orpehum Theatre, as well as the “Farewell Show” this evening. Last night I was able to watch “Can’t Stop the Rock” production show. The Royal Caribbean singers and dancers are very entertaining. I wasn’t able to make it through the whole show but I really enjoyed the portion I was able to watch. So far this has been a wonderful cruise. . .I know, I know, I was complaining a bit about the internet access; however, I am not convinced it was human error, but some type of mechanical or software failure. The Enchantment of the Seas Guest Relations desk was very nice and provided appropriate credits for me for the mishap. We are currently east of Charleston, SC and still have 350nm until we reach Cruise Maryland. We should arrive at the Cape Henry pilot station off the coast of Virginia at about 9:30PM to pick up our pilot for our journey up the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks for tuning in. More pics later this afternoon. . . Radio “Can’t Stop the Rock” was a wonderful show. The singers and dancers were very talented and entertaining. I love the sunrises from days at sea The pool deck will be packed this afternoon with people watching the playoffs on the big screen A view from the Viking Crown Lounge early this morning Our current position . Oshawapilot Posted January 13, 2013 #544 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Love this pic! I would SOOOO be watching the playoffs right at that spot today! I'm guessing in a few weeks they'll be playing the evening hockey games on that TV. I know of one person in our party who will be loving every minute of that. :) Radio, has the signal on these TV's been reliable, or in/out as the ship pitches and rolls? I know on Explorer they were having a lot of trouble with the TV signals when the seas were tall. Given as how the satlock for the internet has been so problematic, I'm curious if the TV's have been following suit. Have a great last day. 55 more days for us till we are aboard her. Unless it was playoffs (which it won't be in a few weeks), I wouldn't expect to see any hockey on the ship.

BrianAlt Posted January 13, 2013 #548 Share Posted January 13, 2013 I saw hockey in several bars on Allure when we were aboard. Yes, maybe in the On Air Club. So maybe at the sports bar. But I doubt on the big screen unless you can convince them to do so. (On a Carnival cruise I convinced the Asst. Cruise Director to put the US - Japan World Cup finals on the big screen by the pool and it was the coolest thing ever!)
